What a great video! I really like the look of this truck, the color scheme is nice! Always entertaining when an experienced driver is behind the wheel! Lots of lid-flipping action, I enjoyed every second of it! Awesome job to you and the driver!

This truck isn't that bad for a new truck. I just love the lid flipping and the sound it makes. Awesome video!

As much as I hate the new look of the Peterbilt, I absolutely love the sound of their acceleration. So much power in it!

Yes, this is the 3000 series transmission versus the usual 4500 series transmission. With the 3000 series, an extension shaft is required due to the PTO being mounted on the side, so the hydraulics have a bit more sound to them. You'll see the cover thats bolted to the chassis frame covering the extension shaft. Thank you for the comment!

The Scorpian sure looks nice in blue. The lid flipping was fun to watch as well. It was cool to see one of these trucks pick up something other than Toter's and Rehrigs. Great job!

Thank you! The town of Gilbert has been using oTTos for quite some time, and have so many in the yard!

Awesome video! Like this truck a lot. That lighter blue with gold does look pretty cool.

I don't know what it is about the Arizona CNG trucks, but they sound awesome, very similar to the diesel trucks round the state! I love the Scorpion, its definitely my favourite US truck, its just cool to watch and seems to perform really well. Great footage, absolutely loved it!
I noticed in one of your comments that it has the Allison 3000 transmission, is the hydraulic pump mounted/driven by the transmission PTO like it is on our Aussie trucks? It seems a more common thing in Arizona as they all sound similar and I don't see many with the front bumper mounted pump.

Yes, the hydraulics are driven by the PTO. I would say front mount pump out here in more common on front loaders than side loaders. Thank you for the comment!

Great video! Do you know what other trucks Gilbert has in their fleet?

Thank you! Gilbert has McNeilus RLs, Curbtenders (G4, and G3), and some older Heil rear loaders.

Couldn't have filmed in a newer neighborhood haha, lots of versas and rotos left in the "town"! Real nice looking truck. How old are their RL's? Still Volvo?

It'll be "City" of Gilbert soon! They have some heil carts left too. Their rear loaders are getting up in age. They have some brand new McNeilus rear loaders now likely replacing their Volvo rear loaders. They did have 1 Volvo rear loader.

Gilbert resident here and I was wondering what landfill our trash is taken too? Is it dumped at a transfer station first? Thanks!

I think all Gilbert’s trash goes to transfer stations. I’m not sure though. I work for Mesa and I don’t see Gilbert at AJ landfill or salt river landfill.
