So very sorry you lost your voice! This is VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm thinking (my personal taste), is that when I make these, instead of the gold cardboard on the inside, I'll take a plastic peanut butter jar (Skippy comes in a size large enough), cut off the top and bottom with my Dremel, and insert those. That will maintain clarity all up and down. NOT criticizing! Just stating my own preference. I LOVE your work!!!

Lovely.
When I have a transparent or translucent tube and want to fortify it, I use clear plastic hoops and make cylinders to fit them. I use one inside each end if the cylinder is short & add one in the middle when it's tall. They come in various diameters 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. inches. I also buy clear plastic discs in the same diameter to glue to the very bottom. They are available on Amazon, eBay and Temu in various price ranges. Occasionally there may be a sharp burr on the inside or outside seam of hoops, but it can easily be filed off with sandpaper or an emery board.
If I feel it needs to be fortified even more, I have very thin clear acrylic rods and can glue a few inside the hoops from the top to bottom before I slide everything into the cylinder.
I'm always amazed to see the beautiful things you come up with ... These are no exceptions!!
I do however feel if you could have somehow found a sturdy piece of clear plastic to go behind the whole 🌿 leaf and displayed it as a wall sconces with a light behind , it would be super cute 🥰
