It was the Akwamu Dormaa group from the Akwamu kingdom that came to establish Esumengya and Asantemanso after chieftaincy succession in the Akwamu kingdom after the reign of Otumfuor Ansah Sassraku I. The Dormaa group led by the Akwamuhemma and the younger twin came along with the ancient Aduana stool and the ember which is in Dormaa and the Amanpong stool in Akwamu . Esumengya May be the Asante Aduana Piesie and not the Piesie of the largest Akan aduana clan . Let’s show respect to Akwamu for once !!!
Akwamu was established as far back as the last 15th and the early 15th century before the formation of the Amansie states in the mid 17th century before the Asante kingdom.
