I both liked and disliked the ending. Liked it because it showed how easy it is to lie to one self. Don found it easy to forgive infidelity until it happened to himself. I disliked the ending because it left me with a feeling of being incomplete.
It isn't about male ego. It is trust. How can OP ever trust his wife after this. She cheated, on him for someone hotter thus showing she wasn't as attracted to OP. This is a nice story but Linda will probably cheat again when she runs across another hot guy who wants her.
