OMG how does she play this. First off, it must suck practicing this piece cos it doesn't have a really great tune to it, and it's so hard technically. Props to julia fischer

No, it does not suck. There are no technical difficulties for violinists like Julia Fischer and they all have an incredible developed memory for music.
And julia Fischer plays that piece wonderful.
And about the "tune" of this piece: Listen to it 10, 20 times and played by different interpreters and it _will_ be a great tune for you :)

Great interpretation indeed! Why does this gifted lady not perform Max Reger's magnificent works for solo violin? Hindemith considered Reger the last "giant" in music and admired him greatly.
