The A2 is one of, if not the coolest car of the old ground effect era
Side note, the first car after this to have the engine fitted higher at one end than the other...was the 2011 Ferrari
Mad Arrows fan, loved the post, thank you! My top five would be A23, A21,, A2, A20, A19, all looked stunning, all had their issues!
This was brilliant! Make moar please. Your content is calming and we can admire the beauty of those machines.
09:55 - The Brabham fan car wasn't actually illegal per se. In fact Bernie Ecclestone scrapped it sort of half-voluntarily to avoid a protracted dispute with the authorities.
My favourite F1 team ever. Thanks a lot!
Btw, fantastic content!
The 1994 Footwork had a decent turn of pace before all the rushed through rule changes after Imola…
IMO, the FA13 is a criminally underrated car beauty-wise
that orange arrows livery tho...
1996: Jos did not crash the arrows, the arrows broke down and crashed Jos!!!
Great video, can’t wait to see more…perhaps Shadow or March?
These videos are phenomenal because it brings back so many memories of old races… the 80’s and the 90’s will never be topped in F1
A19 is a beauty!
My Favorite Backmarker team
Wouldnt call Arrows back markers. They were quick
A23 Should be much higher, great car on a small budget, with more money and development would have been very quick, also was one of the first cars to adopt twin keel with Coughlan, to rank the A19 or A20 above it does not make sense to me :D
The A19 was a great car... Yes, A23 should definitely be ranked above A20 and A22.
Fully agreed. With a bit more reliability, especially at Silverstone, it would have been much further up the road. Unfortunately that's a bit of an Arrows issue, but speedwise the car was pretty sound. There was a reason it was used as a basis in so many cars after it.
The A23 should have easily finished 6th in the CC that year. Aerodinamically sound, decent engine, Frentzen in the kind of environment he used to excel at... A real pity.
Ah yes.... Jaques Villeneuve Sr. 😆
I feel like the A20 should be last, only because of the shady t-minus sponsorship
Arrows will forever be my alltime favorite F1 team. No other team will ever come close.
The A18 is my personal favorite
Fun fact the A2 is in the Nürnbergring museum
A2 by far the most beautiful
I disagree about A21 having a bad engine.... Supertec engine was reliable and pretty powerful. Arrows had only 2 engine related retirements in season 2000. Most of retirements were from collisions and spunoffs. I remember even Tom Walkinshaw speaking about that they were very happy with Supertec engines. Also you will not get points in Hockenheim and Monza with weak engines!
Well, it was behind in power. Not awful, but reasonably poor. The reason it went well was that on raceday the Arrows' drove with less wing, giving them more chances in the race and higher top speeds.
@@Jejking all the teams drove with less wing in the race day compared to qualifying to help overtaking....
The 1981 Brazilian GP was at Jacarepagua in Rio, not Interlagos
Thank you!
Das waren noch Rennautos, Rennsport und Rennfahrer!!!
Pls do a ranking of F1 drivers and cars from the 1990s
I like the 1995 Footwork car.
Porsche didn't jst walk away, they agreed to leave because their engine was crap. And I can't help but think of the A2 (and Lotus 80) when talk of Mercedes porpoising comes up.
The a23 was the best car arrows produced under tom walkingshaw
I dont understand how is A20 supposed to be better than A23. A23 was as a solid midfielder, while A20 was almost dead last.
The A20 was terrible, at the end of the season the Minardis were faster. A22 not much better. There is no way A23 was worse than either even if you take into account Frentzen prowesses.
A20 - the Nigerian Princemobile
When will you learn it? The Brabham BT46 was not illegal!!!!
Love it
