Hello everyone. A boss run of Castlevania fangame for you. A remake of CV Adventure and Belmont's Revenge with bad controls, remixed soundtrack (sorry, I used classic soundtrack unless the game forced me to do otherwise or just didn't have any classic tracks in place), and GB filter which will make your eyes bleed if you ever dare to use it. Sorry, did it seem that I did not like this game? Well, that is the case. I really want to be lenient with fangames but after 100th time I had attack animation cancelled (seriously, name one CV game where landing after jump cancels the attack) I just wished that it would just end as soon as possible. Aside from braindead boss patterns some of which are somehow even easier than in original games, there are few bad ones. Angel Mummy boss is simply atrocious and the final boss is not very good too since its sickles can appear on player's sprite without giving any time to react. Also, the game softlocks itself if you beat Soleil with classic soundtrack active. I might have more praise for this game but I played Castlevania ReVamped some time before and after a really good fangame I just can't find any excuses for this one.
Vania hasn't gotten the fan game love Sonic and MegaMan have. Outside ReVamped I can't think of one that doesn't feel jank, or one that copies the physics and mechanics well.
i don't feel as bad not being lenient on fangames, at least when they're clearly trying to punch past their weight like this. I think the general standard has gotten way higher than "klik and play game where you shoot at MSPaint drawings" in the past 10 years. hell, the fact that they're passion projects means the devs can just... go in at any point and fix them according to feedback and whatnot
So on the one hand, the sprite work looks cool and the boss designs are interesting. On the other hand, the used sound effects and boss patterns leave _much_ to be desired.
Hold on. Soliel named his son after his mother's grandfather? So Christopher Belmont had Soliel Belmont, Soliel married, but named his child after his mother's father and not his father's father? I have no idea if they are saying Christopher married his first cousin, but that makes no sense. The surname is passed down through the men, not the mother. They take on their name of their husband unless saying a Belmont was a bastard, which makes no sense if with Christopher. It should not be that complicated to realize the Belmont clan has sons pass on the whip and how that name would survive through history.

Holy shit, it was that bad? o.o
I remember seeing a video of this a while and thought it looked jank. Seems I dodged a bullet

Wait , is Dark Side actually the necromancer’s name ?
I thought the 4th boss name’s Alucard ?
Don’t miss all the excitement
I guess it is the first game that crashed on Shadowserg channel.
Wait, is that the actor who voiced Zobek in Lords of Shadow in the epilogue??
Captain Picard
Is that Lolth on the thumbnail?
The game crashing was hilarious 😂
The 16 bit with chiptunes is so disonnant
Se ve interesante el juego
Do I hear the music of the Game Boy Castlevania at the beginning?
Cool game👍
Can anyone link me to the music used to fight dracula?
ОЧЕНЬ УЖАСНО... я соболезную вам, Шедоусерг, ведь вам в последнее время приходится копаться в таком мусоре
