funniest shit ever is that I actually own a deck that is more expensive than what I paid for my house, but I paid just 270€ so that doesn't count I think
Vintage is such a fascinating format. The power is so high on both sides that most games usually end up in just drawing with almost no resources in hand or field.
@9:00 Andrea you should teach Carl about the Citadel trick: When you cast tutors or draw spells off the top, you could always hold priority and check what card is on top of your library, in case you want to respond with an instant.
To be fair, if you picked up a few lotuses even just 10 years ago it would have been far more manageable than today. I don't remember if it was a beta or unlimited but in Sam's video about Black Lotus the collector guy he talks to only paid like $3000 for one which obviously is a lot for cardboard but isn't bad for a lotus.
It's not for everybody, but it is really fun. Sometimes games are one-sided blowouts, but a lot of times both players exhaust each other's resources quickly, and it just turns into a slap fight for 1 and 2 damage each turn while you try to topdeck something good. The person who's ahead can change on a dime and the stacks can get crazy with counters on counters on counters.
Nice pauper video! Oh wait... Nevermind, it was great Given you brought 6 decks out would have been cool to swap decks at random for reach game in the match
It's not the mouse pointer, it's Oko's dagger! The art itself bleeds on the text box :) The borderless variant doesn't have it but has the spiked crown near the mana cost ahahah
I said the same thing to myself, but watched the clip back afterwards. Andrea had to crack a fetch (Misty Rainforest) to grab the mana to pay for the Boseiju, then in the cut you can see Carl go up from 2 land (Bayou and Underground) to 3 (the previous two, and a Trop). They just short cut it in the recording and didn't explain exactly what was happening.
Do you need to have your personal guard to protect your cards, when entering a vintage tournament? Not that I will ever have the chance to afford to compete 😅
Carl Market, my favorite MTG content creator
Mengu S. Workshop, my favorite MTG content creator
I'm so glad he got a job working for cardmarket. It would be much harder for Carl if he was sponsored by tcgplayet.
i love andrea but carl market just hits different
Andrea opening with a hand more valuable than my house.

@@doomkingraye7692nepotism must be nice
The banter between Cardmarket and Ultimate Guard/TCGPlayer was actually funny.
Glad you kept it in.

These vintage veedeos are absolutely awesome. Love Mengus workshop, and love to see the Cardmarket guys on as guests! ❤

Love the Mengu's Workshop/Card Market video collabs. Carl and Mengu are always a great pair
Ok so the fact that you have 6 vintage decks built, does it mean you have 6 black lotus? The man's rich!
I mean you can switch the lotuses around for the two decks you’re playing with, but i wouldn’t be surprised if mengu had atleast more than 2 lotuses
No just 2 😅
@@MengusWorkshop...just 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
@@MengusWorkshop still alot :p

Vintage definitely looked super fun these games lol. Beautiful format with super powerful cards.

Thumbs up for the reflection of Tommy behind Carl at 12.28 re-doing his hair ♥
The sponsor 'wars' going on during the games were great, love the paper vintage
Of course Carl would call that Oko a Fog 😂
Demonic tutor into ancestral recall into timewalk. I love watching vintage for these insanely powerful and iconic plays!
I love how carl never stops pitching. 1000 percent commitment at all times.
I just love this kind of tournament with you and cardmarket
Battle of the corporate sponsors between Ultimate Guard and TCGPlayer
DING DING
Loved the vintage tournament! Cardmarket and Mengu's Workshop shoud merge into a single channel because I love watching you guys play together
"Your Ouphe has too many members" is a sentence that only a non-native English speaker would say and I love it
Lovely content to see you together having fun guys!
Mengu having been the one to make all 6 decks seems slightly unfair in this situation but I do really love this kind of fun deck setup.
Nice pauper video! Oh wait... Nevermind, it was great

Love to see it. Great tournament :)
What a game this will be!!! Thank you CM and Mengu's Workshop teams!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Honestly, for Carl not playing vintage til last episode, really proud of how he represented himself.
So nice!! We want moreee
Great content guys!!!
A couple of legends with some very awesome rectangles on display. GGWP.
Love you guys! Hope I can meet you in person one day. Cheers from Argentina 😊❤🎉
I love how Carl was in another COUNTRY than his wardrobe full of funky hats yet he still found one
I could watch Mengu and Carl all day!!! 😅
Such decks are probably something I’ll never be able to afford. I envy in a good way and will go take a look at my collection of Pauper decks.
To Tommi the editor - please use another caption of Oko's name when displaying cards in hand, the mouse pointer is driving me crazy. 😂😂

Yay!!! MORE CM collab Vintage content.
At 17:53, Carl was supposed to get to tutor for a land, not Andrea! Didn't matter at all in the end though.

I mean Andrea fetched a land, so he was supposed to get that land. Carl just forgot his
WHOOOOOOOOO RING IS GONE
Finallyyyyyy modern is saaaaaaveeeeed
Video is "how to cook a vintage Margherita pizza" basically 😂
This was such a fun one
Margarita Pizza is literally my favorite. Every time we go to the local Pizza place that's what I get haha.
Okk carls convinced me. Isubscribed
The cross over with all waited for
This brings me joy
Everytime Mengu says “Beta”. I think of the fish. 😂
Show us the sideboarding!
YEAH CARL AND ANDREA BABYYY LETS GOOOO
Love this channel!
that cut was too good😂
carl is so funny! thank you Mengu for this content
I subscribed Carl, I am expecting my legacy deck in the mail so I can be a better player soon :) thank you and cheers
4:49 only in legacy is the landdrop the last thing you do in a turn 😅
The God of Chaos Vs. Mengu.
This is a tough one to figure out who to root for.
Uhh 17:50 did Andrea search for his own boseiju?
He was just shortcutting and fetched off his misty at the same time as Carl tutored from the boseiju
I think he had a fetch
Bellissimo video, anche se sarebbe stato bello vedere uno svolgimento a mo' di torneo vero e proprio coi brackets

I just saw the ban for froggy. You were the first guy i thought of 💔
This was peak!
Love your stuff guys. Do another game vs the Goats 🐐 Toffel vs Mengucci 🎉 Btw what’s that electronic that you guys use to keep lifepoints? I want one
Digital lifepad by ultimateguard, check their website in description
insane video
That one turn Carl should have made the Mox into an elk instead. Might not have mattered in the end but would have gotten him an extra turn
mengu please consider using some different music too, it gets repeditive after long time, I appreciate the videos and love the content!!
If Carl wins is his prize a comb
I LOVE OATH OF DRUIDS
You need some soundproofing to stop the echo that's going on
I think you forgot to put the decklists in the description
Thanks. Added them now
It's the final showdown badum dum da da da dum da da da dum It's the final showdown
I hope you bring Carl back!
I hope so too!
Love it
17:27 🇮🇹😂
Carl slept 10% of his visit and 90% of his visit was playing magic 😅
❤❤❤
Carl exiled wasteland twice in the same turn with the same deathrite shaman in game 1 i think. Hard to follow during the yawgmoth turn.
legal in paper
@@AdamdoPL this will never not be funny
We all knew mengu was the master.
White border Black Lotus? Amateurs 🥱
Lets pray for that Psychic Frog and Vexing Bauble now banned in legacy.
I dont believe you save the environment with those lifepads...
❤
vintage is so swingy
Yippeeee
Carl the best
The reason Carl won game 1 is because Mengu's Workshop cannot subscribe to itself. It is his only weakness...
I'm here so early, dang
Let's go!
CARL MARKET
Finals already? 🥲 I need more vintage
