Historic canal walk, Ashton under Lynn to Hyde (Peak forest canal part 1)

This video is the first part of walk along the peak forest canal.
Starting in Ashton under Lyne and going through Dukinfield then onto Hyde.
Visiting the historic sites of Portland basin and Newton hall. There is also a blue plaque which shows where Mary Moffitt lived who was a famous missionary along with her husband Robert Moffitt.
Her son in law was the famous explorer David Livingston.
