Hey buddy great stuff as always. I just figured out fraight train by Elizabeth cotten. Was easy and fun little tunes. Might make for a good future video. Keep the good work up man your rocking it
Awesome song! Thanks for the recommendation. This would be a fun one. Have you ever seen the Alan lomax archives? Really great stuff in a similar sound
Awesome tab and tutorial! Just not understanding why there's an open 4th string in the 1st and 5th measure. Other than that it sounds amazing even when just learning to put it all together. Great work as usual Jack!
Thanks so much! Those open 4th strings are there because i like to let them ring and give it some bottom end. You could skip those if you wanted, I just like the feel they give the song.
Hi Jack, I’ve been trying to tune my relatively new Gold Tone to double C tuning (to learn Sally in the Garden) but the B string won’t stay in C, ie it keeps going flat. Should I just persevere and keeping tuning it up or do you think might there be something wrong with it? Thank you! PS I tried to send you a message on your patreon site but it didn’t work.
Hey Amanda, most of the time this is happening because your string is slipping in the tuner because it's not secured there quite right. Or it can even happen if they're very old. I've never done a string changing video because Tom Collins did the perfect string change video 🤣 I still refer to it. I would give it a watch at th-cam.com/video/S0EQVb0B6uE/w-d-xo.html and try changing your strings and see if that solves the issue. And thanks for letting me know about the patreon. I just sent you a message directly on there to see if we can get it to work.
@@BanjoSkills Thanks Jack! I only bought my banjo a month or so ago so the strings are also new. I’ll have a look at Tom Collins and try removing and re fitting the same string. 🤞🏻 🙂
@@BanjoSkills Hi again Jack, I could see your message but there wasn’t an option of replying 🙄. Do you have an email address so I could send you a screenshot?

Very cool and I love it's haunting tone too!
Thank you!
I love Sally in the Garden (both listening to and playing it) and the harmonics are such a neat addition!
Thanks so much! I really like how the harmonics turned out but wow they are tough!
Very nice. Gotta learn this one.
I’ll do a full breakdown on it soon. This is a fun one!
