I had no idea there were runs like that in the world! I love to ski, but am terrified of tall, steep slopes. I like big 'bunny slopes'. This looks like a perfect run for me! I would be going a lot slower than that though, but wow what a beautiful ride. Thank you for sharing it with us!
One of my favourite runs in Zermatt. When open.... another great run is to take an early left to Cervinia and stay left all the way down to Valtournenche. Thats run is miles long....
@@גיא-ע8מ On Zermatt side take Red 85, left on blue 88 to Plateau Rosa, Keep left onto Red 7, Left onto Red 35, left onto Red 36, then Red 12, short lift up and then keep left Red 1/1a/1 down to Valtournenche if its open all the way down. That's a vertical drop of 2375 m.
I really wish they would make a rule of no stopping in the center of the run, and sitting down in the middle of the run. Bad enough all the beginners snow plowing on a run they shouldn't be on, get their butt over on the bunny hills and off the expert runs. This run looked a lot more crowded than I've seen in Zermatt, but I always tried to be as early as possible to beat the crowds and even later in the day its still way better than the US ski areas, after going to Zermatt I never skied the US again. For the same money you would spend on some over crowded town with too many lift tickets sold there's no way you can ski fast, too many people who think its fashionable to get together and stop right in the middle, aaarrrrgggghhhhh !!! PS: The longest ski run is Chamonix France, its 16 miles long but its mostly beginner run, Zermatt is 9.3 miles but you can drop into italy 6 miles, take a tram back up and get 15 miles of very fast runs, "skiers heaven"!
It perfectly okay to snowplow on these slopes. It's red yes but not super steep. Perfect for get acquaintance with the feel for beginners. You don't own the mountain friendo. This run is equivalent of blue even green for some places in France such as Maribel, courchevel or les gets or Avoriaz.
What s long decent ⛷️ You are a confident skier ! High speed run. But no carving effect, just gliding. Maybe, like one person commented here, your skis were too short and soft. You know it better. Looking for your shadow your hands were inactive, just hanging there , doing nothing. But thank you. It was great you showed us this special run.
Hello guys, what Numbers of slops in Zermatt do you suggest for very beginners ? I like large and smooth slops , no sudden end on a side , like in the beginning of this video. They look quite easy for beginners.
Been there done that. Swiss still use T bars...and customer service sucks...i once had a patrol guy with both ski's standing on my snowbaord...save your money and go to the US...customer service 2nd to none and a far wider variety...of course for the Alps effect, if u really have to then Saas-Fe (my weekly destination for snowboarding when i lived there) is far better.
I may be wrong but I'm putting a HUGE question mark on that speedometer. 90kph is 25 meter per second. There is NO way you are moving anywhere that fast.
You start by saying you could be wrong, then turn around and emphatically state there is no way he could go that fast. Have you skied this resort or run, how can you “know” whether it’s accurate or not? Your statement of certainty is arrogant at best.
@@LightofDeneb My "statement" (because we don't comment on youtube, we "make statements") was factual and based on observation. You don't speak very good english and obviously don't understand what I was trying to say. Have a nice day.
I understand exactly what you were trying to say, hence my reply (in correct English). You cannot know by watching the video. You don’t know the equipment he was using, you weren’t there, so observing a posted video is insufficient information to know factually whether those speeds were obtained or not. I’m not saying they are correct. I’m just saying you are not qualified to say there is “no way” since you cannot possibly know.
@@finleydoyle Hmm I believe the actual longest is from Klein Matterhorn to Valtourneche. It is 21km long and takes forever to ride. As for Klein Matterhorn to Zermatt, it‘s also about 14km depending on which route you take (The person in the video takes the most direct ride)
What a wonderful ride ❤ not too crowdy and in good snow .😊
Love the lollipop tap(s), that signals here we go. 😊
The end of the run among houses and trees i really cool ! 😊
always a nice steady cam... like.. you really care about us viewers out here and we are grateful! Thank you!!
It has been an enormous pleasure following you on such a beautiful run. Incredible adventure 0:01 from 3900m to a little river in the valley 19:00 🏔

You're a lucky Guy tout be able to ski in such a run. And YT gives me an idea of the length of the ride. Solden's 15km is not Bad too. 🤟😊🖖🏻😁
Isnt that run longer than the one back to Zermatt?
@@michaelsutherland9069 yes I believe it is.
Wow! Amazing fast ski run! Some brave sharp turns too down near Zermatt! Thanks SO much for Sharing!
Magnificent - thank you for filming this
Lovely video of a spectacular run:)
You should definitely try carving more, though with the length of the ski run I understand why you didn't haha
These videos are really nice and helpful, because we're planning on taking the exact same routes in a few weeks lol
So beautiful 😊
That was fun. I have run in Zermatt a lot and run the bottom part of that run many times and skied the glacier where you started in July.
The ride of a lifetime. And you too can do it.
That’s a long run. Most of it was beginner to intermediate. Is it a continuous run if you half to skate up hill for 50 meters?
Strong legs good job
Very beatifull pist
Which country is here
Switzerland , Zermatt, Matterhorn mountain.

Great
That was fun thanks man
лепота ! сколько километров эта трасса ?
Probably more than 10 km. 😊
Много километров .
В описании к видео написано 13 км и все направления , которые он использовал.

Fast and dangenrous for the other skiers :(
Other skiers slow and dangerous...
Nonsense
Not sure it’s the longest. The run to Valtournenche is much longer.
Un'hai fatto neanche una urva, boia dhe!... Il posto e la neve sono il top...
😍
the first parts seem pretty boring with lots of flats, the lower sections (around Furi and Blatten) look very fun though
no powder or trees makes Jerry a dull skier
Amazing 🎉
Nothing reckless about any of this !!
Bravo
My ears wouldn't have liked that
It’s not the longest…
Then which is the longest?

No idea why anyone would want to repeat this run. Where's the interest?
Easily do able with cross country ski
Not that impressed with the run at all. Many places you had to pole to get through. I‘ll take western US ski slopes anytime.
真快
Long but mostly boring. The lower part seems cool, though.
I would rather have FullHD at 60P than this 24P eyecancer causing thing
Fast. But utterly reckless. The nuber of people whose skis/boards you skied over or who you just blatantly cut off dangerously... Zero respect
sounds like you never skied before, thats how it is.
Cant really tell what you referring to
@@Wonex00 Eddie is not his real name . His real name is Karen. 😂
he skied over zero skis and zero boards, what are you even talking about
Nice long run safe skiing too 👍
There are no carving. Boring... 🥱
I was two times in Zermatt.Longest pist in Europe and highest too.3883 in pist not freeride
