Listening to the albums again starting with Vessel, it started before Blurryface. In Vessel, it’s like he’s trying to figure out what’s wrong, and it’s a lot louder of an album than Trench or Clancy. It’s reminiscent of a teen going through changes and not understanding why. I think that Trench is when he created the character and world “to feel some control”. In Migraine he references the “island”, which was probably him trying to explain what it’s like in his head. Its great to listen through their albums again and make more connections:)

Paladin Strait didn’t feel like the end to me…? It felt like the beginning. then again the SETLIST and the story don’t really go in chronological order in all the albums, even Trench. so it makes sense it’s at the beginning of the story but not the end of the record…but it also does…? but it comes before Overcompensate in the story but it picks up after Overcompensate…?! my head is hurting from all this navigating 😂 bottom line it doesn’t feel like the FINAL end. the end of Clancy’s story, yes, but i feel like there are more stories to tell
I kind of felt like the story loops with that final track...? Makes me think of Shy Away, "Don't circle the track break the cycle in half", but that might be harder than it seems for some people. "So few, so proud, so emotional," I think cycles back to Blurryface
This is so bittersweet, i remember when it started and seeing how it’s grown. All the theories that were made. I’m so proud of them and their journey!!
I’m sad about this but also feel like there is that teaser at the end… so like it’s over but not over. It’s a new chapter. Scary, sad, and exciting all at once which creates anxiety for me!!!
Honestly I 1000% percent agree when he says "all GREAT things end", If you don't give an ending to something, if it becomes a forever story, it will eventually not feel great anymore. (see Game of Thrones and many other long running TV series) He's got a story, he wants to tell it, and stories without an ending will always be missing something. I'm excited to hear he thinks he will keep creating music, haven't met a 21 pilot song I didn't enjoy listening to.
The way that the Clancy album ended. I suspect there is another album coming shortly called Nico which will feature the final battle of the two characters. This is why I think they held back the video for Paladin.

No, certain genres don’t need collabs. Paul meany from Mutemath producing the records is as much of a collaboration you would need and it’s been working out fantastically.

Every song on scaled and icy can be pretty easily fit into lore. Of course they have their IRL meanings but all of them can pretty easily be seen as propaganda from dema.

It is kinda sad, I feel like everything is begining to become more interesting. And also war between dema and Banditos isn't over yet, because Tyler is captured and bishops still alive I guess? What did Clancy do to bishops? And also there's no explanation for many thing like Keons was killed because of his betrayal, right? Then what happened to his "part" of Dema which he ruled. What happened to Tyler, what happened to Banditos, did they win and captured Dema or made all citizens free or what? It's so interesting and intriguingly, so please don't end this story or explain it, I'll appreciate it if somebody will read it to the end.
