We will get some Wilson Laps in this spring/summer brother!
Great episode as always man!
We LOVED it brother!!! Made my whole day! Thank you for the opportunity!
NO WAY I MADE IT INTO A RIVER KINGS VIDEO!!! SO RAD! Great video of an epic day! Was awesome meeting you SYOTR!!!!!!!!
Had a blast!!!
another awesome RK vid
Thanks Gary!
The wife got out of her comfort zone today on the Uwharrie, took a swim re-entering the sit on top, but she bounced back, we laughed it off, and continued having a blast on the river, so happy to get out there with her and can’t say enough about keeping up a positive attitude no matter what happens, good stuff!
Right on Matt!!
Famous last words…”I think they’ll be better in whitewater.” Lol. Great vid as always!
I think they actually were! I just had to learn quick!
Ya did a fine job in the open boat, have yet to try one of the little plastic oc1s. My smallest open boat was an Ocoee. That would be considered a long boat now.
Thanks! They were so much fun!
I really like seeing you and Wade in them canoes
Dude! they are so much fun!!
I finally went whitewater kayaking on some class 2-3 rapids in Bryson city NC in my Dagger Code this past week. I want to improve and take it to the next level. I have a lot of on the water experience, just not solo whitewater experience. My wife accompanied me in a dagger axis and had a good time; however, she has no interest in doing bigger water runs. Your video’s have inspired my journey. I would love to learn from you and try new spots. I’m willing to travel for lessons from you. I’m out of Florida.
During my multiple runs I could eddy out and surf waves with little to no problems… but I have not flipped yet and don’t know how to roll. I have a natural understanding of moving water and basic paddling, but I would like to build confidence under someone with your level of experience/knowledge.
Right on Imwaiting4you1! So cool to hear you are starting that journey! Thanks for the kind words. I actually do not do any formal instruction ie. never scheduled or for any compensation. Almost everything I do is with friends or a chance meet-up or spur of the moment kind of thing. The truth is there is also a lot better qualified and competent instructors out there that live the instructor life. I recommend getting with Ace Kayak School or H2O Dreams or Nantahala Outdoor Center. I know those guys personally and they are the best. They can tailor a class or series of instruction that will be top shelf. I have never heard negative feedback and they are simply as good as it gets.
looks like a good place to get my white water practice on! Did I read there was a place in Arkansas (or somewhere around there) that had a new white water park?
There have been several popping up all over.
@@RiverKingsKayak I can see it catching on
if i. remember correctly they have 2 channels .. did you run. both. how was. it they are in my sight for this summer
They actually have 2.5 channels. The wilderness channel splits and has an instructional section that rejoins the main channel. then there is the comp channel. and yes, we always run everything!
always learning something. new.. . 21 days till my first paddle stroke since. my surgeries. I looking so. forward to it
i need to be a part of this community. Everyone knows everyone apparently
