All X7's tagged for the Alpina treatment are shipped to Germany where the Alpina spec drivetrain and bespoke interior trim are hand assembled. Special colors, materials, and trim details are available upon request. As a family-owned performance specialty manufacturer, Alpina production was limited by all the hand assembly required for each vehicle. No changes in the current Alpina/BMW agreement until BMW takes full ownership of Alpins in January 2026.

Now speaking as a Mercedes fan boy as much as I love the gls63amg I would definitely hands down pick the xb7 over it.. that thing is amazing and beautiful at the same BMW did their homework to a T with this one
I would definitely take this over the Cadillac Escalade V. I can’t say that I’ve ever met an Escalade V owner that I wasn’t annoyed by. I see an Escalade and I just always picture a young blonde trophy wife behind the wheel.
Great Review! The performance of this car is incredible considering it's size and I would say, on the most part, the exterior looks good. However I would say that the ALPINA front lip gives it a bit of a minivan-type look, and a lot of people believe the split headlights (on the X7, XB7 and I7) have ruined the traditional head on image of a BMW. Either way, great car and great video.
XB7.. with extended shadow line trim, black Alpina lettering in the front, debadged and Lavalina leather interior.. 😎 Probably not all these options are available in US.. 🤷♂️
Needs a hidden wiper better tail lights and camera mirror. The new QX 80Escalade Denali Suburban Chevys even Hyundais have camera mirrors and hidden wipers. Also they need a long version like the Grand Wagoneer thats what familys want.
Give me a XM label over this any day . The ride is much smoother in the alpina ( which it’s supposed to be) but everything else favors the XM. Interior is way more comfortable in the XM
What’s the maintenance like? I guess it would have to go to a dealership that’s reputable such as BMW how long could this be a class with maintenance kept up?

Escalade V is just that much crazier, and I would choose it over every other SUV you mentioned, but I have to admit this is probably more comfortable and luxurious.
I haven't driven any of the SUV's that you mentioned. But... If I had a choice. I'd have to compare 2 directly. I would compare the Range Rover Autobiography to the BMW / ALPINA XB7. It's truly the only proper comparison as far as "Premium Luxury SUV's go.

This Alpina is quite impressive but design wise, i prefer the Escalade and the Range Rover more. Nonetheless, the Durango Hellcat is incredibly more fun thanks to its engine and a lot cheaper, it's just not as luxurious. For a family sporty luxurious SUV, i think i'd go for the Escalade. The Range Rover will be all the time at the shop and the design of the XB7 is quite good for a BMW, but not as good looking as a brand new Escalade.
People: Super SUVs are ironically awesome

Alpina has always been on the front spoiler since forever. You should know that. And it looks fantastic if you know what Alpina is, means.

I believe all X7s have air suspension as standard.
All X7 have air suspension! Not just the alpina. The comfort plus is exclusive to alpina.

Caddy blends in the background imo. It's played out. This is a way better drivers car. While still having better luxury and tech then cadillac

Alpina XB7 is probably better product than GLS 63 since even the base X7 wins vs GLS (comparison test by TheStraightPipes, for example)
