I've learned a few extra things playing mirio for a while now. Before finishing the BnB combo, which the attack, yellow, permeate, cancel, kick. I do 2 kicks in the air, do the support, then 2 attacks, yellow and kicks for a small bit more damage. Cape or permeation in midair can be the difference between winning or losing. Always use a support the moment you know the cape isnt gonna connect to save yourself. You can also perform a PU1 or 2 the very moment you hit that 3rd kick on the ground given it isnt a meteor for just a bit more oomph. If a mirio has you on low health, they have at least a PU1 and they're just blocking now. You've already lost. His PU1 cant be interrupted until he emerges from the ground and even then, he will bulldoze through any yellow, red or normal attack. You've lost.
Here is a Mirio combo for you: Basic attack x3 -> yellow + headphone assist (gotta time it properly) -> basic attack x3 -> quirk 2 x3 -> level 1 or 2 (level 1 does 15.6k, level 2 does 22.3k, no wall splats or dash cancels needed) I thoroughly believe that Mirio is one hell of a top tier character. He has so many tools that when used properly can cause so much havoc. His warp punch invalidates Overhaul zoning, and his invulnerable grab is great for getting that last little bit of health if your opponent doesn't know its invulnerable
Yeah, I tried what you said and the damage is insane, but apparently (I suppose this is if both of Jirou’s soundwaves hit) the PU1 version can do ~16.1k, which is even better.

I use the uppercut to try and punish his ranged options. Usually you just want to get on top of him and don’t give him a chance to start setting up and try to find ways to go through his attacks.

Also it's a pretty good mind game if you prem into the ground and hold block then the uppercut doesnt come out and immediately go into super armor

I know I’m late to this but you should try nejire and jiro as supports and go into his level 1 or 2 that’s good damage
