My first audio acquaintance with both groups dates from there, when Projections of a Stained Mind arrived at the local store as expensive import, plus this useful compilation by Beherit, which actually works more like a repository first album than anything. And in those days, Mayhem were still known as bleak DM from Norge. Beherit were masters at creating chaotic atmospheres and then gutting the hell out of its demon entrails, and got my attention first.
