No that is not true ,different temples have different rule ,basic or mool rule is that you can't touch the murti(idol) while you're in periods as this can affect the energies of murti....

1. No one must touch any statues during there visit while darshan, if they wants to touch statues, they must wear proper pooja clothes

1. I think we should add one more point for other people’s/non jains to avoid eating non veg food before entering Jain temples.
2. Don’t touch Tirthankar gods pratima
3. If there is Aarti thaal, don’t take aarti as other Hindu temples we have practice of covering palm over aarti and then touching it to the face

Hum mandir jaatey hain param vitragi jheev ki puja karne, tab mann mein mandir ko enter karne sey pehle hi, 3 times nisahi nisahi nisahi bolein, mann sey uska yehi arth hota hai, ki ab sansaarik karyon ka nished karti hoon mann sey, bhav sey aur mann, vachan, kaay ki ekagrata purvak param pujniya jheev ko namaskar karti hoon.
