アメリカ空軍で最も巨大な輸送機C-5Mスーパーギャラクシーが横田基地に飛来しました。地上では28個の車輪がその巨体を支えています。
離陸時の車輪の特殊な格納の様子を撮影しました。
The U.S. Air Force's largest transport aircraft, the C-5M Super Galaxy, flew to Yokota Air Base. On the ground, 28 wheels support its huge body.
A video was taken of the special retraction of the wheels during takeoff.

Very nice! I flew on this aircraft when I was in the Air Force. When flying in this plane, the only time I had any sensation of flying was during take-off or when the craft was banking left or right.

息の長い飛行機ですね。
ロートルなので昔のCMで「クルッ、チョンッ、パッ」というのがあったのを思い出しました（笑）（ちあきなおみさんがやっていたと思います・・・）
複雑な機構ですね。それを当時に完成させた事が凄いです。
もう50年以上運用されている機種です。
計器などは更新されて近代化され続けているとはいえ
機体の基本設計がそんなに昔とは信じられません。
