The First Amendment might be to blame for that as it guarantees the right to practice your religious beliefs without the fear of persecution by the government, even if said beliefs are simply lies to make money with. The only time it becomes a problem is when the IRS starts to audit these individuals, are accused of doing something illegal, or are caught doing something that goes against what the faithful have expected of them.
Even then, I think a pastor encouraging people to donate to a politician’s election campaign crosses a line. In my view, that is an endorsement of a political candidate, and I don’t think nonprofits can do that under the last seventy years of tax code, in large part thanks to then-senator LBJ. Even the USCCB has gone on record supporting the Johnson Amendment, and even if that was repealed, most bishops would be against their priests endorsing candidates from the pulpit.

Remember that time the person who started their religion was exposed as a fraud by the mother that gave virgin birth to him? (Mark 6:1-6)
How is it legal, just buy a senator or congressman or a few! Donate to their campaign! It’s a miracle!!
To make the big bucks one has to spend big to make it happen. Popoff has spread his tentacles out in every direction dipping into the pockets of the credulous believe anything rubes willing to toss every dollar they have into his prayer pot. This ensures that Popoff's prayer is answered.
The modern day Pharisees. I would hope Christians would be the people most angered by these grifters.
I think god should not touch me like that.
The ehn word thing by his wife was funny though. That made me laugh
So..... did it take 6 years to graduate from college??
It’s so weird that people buy into this. It’s sad, these televangelists are awful.
Hey, hey. BE FAIR. 10:08 that man no longer had uterine cancer
;)
I think thst this is what is meant by using the lord's name in vain.
One side of the issue, for sure. There's also swearing using the Lord's name.
The elephant in the room is the overwhelmingly obvious demographic of…oh, never mind. Go Steelers!
The Popoffs are going to hell with a SCHOLARSHIP
I never feel bad for such gullible people!🙄 I guess sometimes those folks had to eat poop to learn their lessons, this is just #GodsLaw!😏
Give 10 percent of your income. Not for God to use, but to help His people and the church! But not a loud mouth fraud!
These people are so ridiculous lol
This guy is just plain evil. It’s true that he probably never had a chance to become anything other than a scammer, but not all scammers are inherently evil. He could have found a hustle that didn’t rely on taking advantage of the sick, needy, and desperate. Even most people who claim to be psychics would never do what this guy has done. What a scumbag.
Peter *P O P O F F* !?! That was his actual real name as written on his long-form birth certificate? D:
If you answer your phone and James Randi is onthe other end, you know you're cooked
@@kensims8214 Especially because James Randi is dead.
God cannot be used in any way. Period.
