I don't share your preferred actors list, Jimmy Wang for sure was great. He is the first great one. But Bruce Lee heck no, he was a megalomaniac, lacked the calm mind training for real kung fu fighting, he was on a wrong path his whole life and had zero counter attacking skills, almost all kung fu actors are better than him. Lee couldn't memorize more than 2-3 moves before "Cut", next sequence. He insisted on speed because he had zero defensive skills. Any honest Kung Fu grandmaster will tell you he lacked most important teachings of Kung Fu that you will find in others. His fame is all due to his fluent english and being the first to film in hollywood. He was not about Kung Fu but about narcissism and hate.
Polly Shang-Kuan is also a treasure. She has a hair game that's 100, a knife game over 9000, and I can only dream of projecting her unbothered relentlessness. Give the woman her roses while she's still here. 🌹 🌹 🌹
Jimmy Wang's movies always satisfy. His characters were always virtuous and upright. Also no trace of the narcissism that would come with later end 1970's movies.actors , and no vices in him (the most flagrant opposite to that is bruce lee, most arrogant and vicious actor). Just a pure model of a man. The movie that impressed me the most of him was were he lived with an old mother in the forest and he had promised his mother he would not fight ever again. He is so humble and filial in that movie it's touching. Of course once they hurt his mother he kills the whole bandit army with two knives. Biggest butchery, I think the movie was the "revenge of the master".
I recall her being in another kung-fu movie where she was hot tempered and out for revenge - Ghost Face, an Indonesian themed martials arts movie. Did the girl survive at the end of the movie?

The Temple Ghost wears a Manchu lord costume, but no one with the typical front haircut and ponytail obliged on Han Chinese during the Qing Dynasty. The weaponry isn't indicative of the early XXth Century. Iron Palm Bai is a student of Escort Wang Wu Dadao (Big Sword) a famous legend of Tianjin who inspired Guo Yuanjia by the end of the XIXth Century.
