ive got a 2012 kawi 450 monster with all the goodies high comp piston/recluse clutch/scott steering damper/full pro circuit system/oversize front rotor and braided lines/pro circuit rear linkage/race tech suspension for my weight-speed etc etc,my 2015 yz250f is such a breath of fresh air the bike is so good out of the box and i havent done anything to it,dont get me wrong i love the kawi still and my last 5 bikes were 2001 rm125,2007 yz 450f,1996 kx500,2006 ktm 525 and a 1996 cr125 so i have a feel for all brands but the new yzs very easy on the racer who just wants to race it /wash it/race it again :)
The only Yamaha dirt bike I will ride or buy is there 2stroke the 4 strokes suck sorry I'm hoping u did something with ur 2 strokes for your 60th year anniversary
Quincy O'Connor Hondas are a mediocre bike, there unicam design is just a joke, they have cheap steel valves while the YZ has titanium valves, the ergonomics are for a 4'11 Japanese guy, the airfork is just the stupidest thing I to date that that honda and suzuki and kawi have done, its hard enough keeping oil in a standard spring fork try keeping air in one, their fat, they handle like crap, and they have a most mellowing boring slow revving motor I have ever ridden.
***** Good thing they abandoned the unicam for 2017, MXA guys have always said if the honda had a better motor it would be the best bike, it handles unlike any other just doesnt have the horsepower(at the moment)

My yz is going strong! Love my Yamaha. The parts from the agents in South Africa is just shocking over priced other than that I'm a happy customer.
