I'm pretty sure you can plug it into something like a cell phone charge pack and it'll run off that first. I'll have to try that if I do another 24 hour race where I don't destroy my butt first.
Cycling at night with only the bar light was one of the scariest thing i did, especially in the corners because you're looking into the corner but your light is not lighting up where you're looking
@@letsgoletsgoletsgoletsgoletsgo That’s why the helmet mounted light is needed. It points where you look. It works with the handlebar mounted light which lights the trail ahead of the bike.
If you press and hold the power to turn it on, it will put it into a daytime riding mode. Low light with an occasional flash. This is on the Tail EVO. Not sure if it works on the Hangover.
I don’t find it worth it. My cables are mostly out of the way on the Hightower and the Jamis Renegade, the singlespeed doesn’t have enough cables to get in the way. I think the cable management clip would only be worthwhile if you have cables touching the lens of the light.
I only ran 2.5 laps in the dark. I was suffering from some bad chafing. You can run an external pack to supplement the internal battery. For the fire road sections, I only ran the handlebar light and it was on the lowest setting. I would have run the fire roads in the dark but it was a new moon and absolutely dark w/o lights.
I found out about these lights about 2 months ago.. I have a set now.. great lights!
I've seen these in person. They're crazy bright. Thanks for the review.
Great lights. Only thing I need personally is to have removable battery feature for longer rides.

You can use the light with a Powerbank of your size tho theese support pass-through charging 🔋
Love my Outbound Lights!

They’re engineered and manufactured in chicago Illinois
Onshore manufacturing? That is rare these days.

I'll have to try.
Thanks for info. I have the Hangover coming soon, so I will let you know.
The Hangover has the same daytime/nighttime modes. Just checked. Now if it will just stop raining for a while! 🤣
Is the cable management hooks worth the add on?

I'm assuming you had to run them all night long? How did you deal with the batteries? Did you run an external battery pack for most the rice?
