@@Ava-wu4qp Awesome, thanks. I have the Aria's but they are too big to sleep on as well as the KZ's and others I have. I've heard the Chu's are very good and also the others you mention, thanks for that. It's a bit tricky keeping up with all the IEM's, over ears and amps + DAC's! :)
@@Cyba_IT Sennheiser'probably fit the best and with the least cable noise but sound worst. Chu definitely sounds the best but cable equally bad to quarks and not that much smaller than Aria.
@@PrimeAudioReviews So overall ZEX is just better huh? The only thing that makes me apprehensive about KZ is how damn stupidly sensitive they are and how they pick up noise. Hopefully since this is an electrostat it’s a little harder to drive no? or they bumped up the impedance? i might just get both lol. Bullet style iems are pretty convenient and casual. Thanks for the review!
I just got these and I love them, what is for your opinion would be a step up from these for under 70$ or even a100$ for that neutral “reference sound headphones” obviously with similar signature of the quarks? Thank you
I'm interested to know if you've ever heard the Radsone HE-100? The graph and overall construction looks almost identical and both use a 6mm DD. They look extremely similar to each other.
@@PrimeAudioReviews bro i tried kinera tyr, blon 03, Kinera bd05 pro, sony mh755 none of them has the bass that i want, does this quarks have good bass???
I prefer CRA. It's not as flat and sounds more dynamic compared to Quarks. It also has less microphonics and being able to change out the cable is a bonus too.
Hey, I'm looking for a neutral IEM with the largest sound extension in both lows and highs and layering resolution that is done well. I'm a keyboardist who plays in a band, I want to be able to hear all the notes nice and natural, can you recommend me any pair? (I'm about to pull the trigger on an Etymotic er2se when it goes on sale.) The way I see it is that I'd probably want to step up to the Moondrop blessing 2 anyhow so I don't know if I should even bother with the Etymotic. Any advice? Thank you!
You might want to take a look at the Moondrop KATO. I've been very impressed with that although it won't have as good noise isolation as the B2 if that's a factor.
Thank you for always answering my questions David. It cannot be easy and yet you stick with it. It does not go unnoticed
I felt it was kind of ironic to not reply to this comment haha!
Thanks for the review. They sound great for the price! Order one more pair for the future....
The cables suck but they sound fantastic for the price! I sleep on my side in these most nights.
I'm looking for some good sounding, small iem's exactly for this purpose Ava so thanks for the heads up! How are they holding up?
@@Cyba_IT cables are still awful but still satisfied with the sound. Some alternatives would be the moondrop Chu, Sennheiser CX80s, and Final e500

Love your reviews. How are these compared to the Tin Hifi c0 (elf). Im looking for a reference set to mix on the go.
I don't have the Elf. Quarks doesn't have replaceable cable which might be a factor if you're looking for longevity.
nice review
How's the isolation with the stock tips?
Stock tips are too small for my ears lol. But I know from looking at them noise isolation will be the same i.e. Good.
Krabbos what do you suggest under 40 USD for 11/11? Looking to upgrade from the Trn V90. Also, should we call you David instead? 😅
Either name is fine haha. If you want neutral, try the TKZK Wave (rumored to be new brand by Tin Hifi). Otherwise, try CCA NSA for a surprise cheapie!
i like moondrop quarks and looking for an upgrade, will ssr be a good upgrade?
It's a decent upgrade in technicalities (soundstage, resolution) with pretty much the same sound signature.
I'd go for SSP instead rather than SSR
@@landarr any particular reason?
Go aria or starfield
If you wanna upgrade, do a big one
Thinking about this or the KZ ZEX. How would they compare? i would be dead set on the quarks but that 3k bugs me a bit. is it as shouty as the ssr?
ZEX has more bass and is very smooth - no problematic peaks and better resolution. Yes, Quarks can be shouty like ssr.

Try Moondrop Chu 2.
Do you think it is good for FPS games?
I think there are better options out there now, including ones with detachable cables.
@@PrimeAudioReviewscan you name some of them, i want to buy iems for CS2 only.

I don't have the vk4 but have had lots of people asking about it.

Simgot EA500 maybe or even BASN Mix-PD

HE-100 has metal shells and slightly more bass presence. It has a nice sound but $89 is stretching a bit much.
Agreed. They we selling for £30 a couple of months ago which is a bit more reasonable
How's the build quality?
Build on the shells is good but I've heard some people had cable damage after a few months. Not sure if that is still an issue.
How does it compare to the KZ DQ6?
DQ6 is more V-shaped, has more bass and overall fullness. Quarks is fairly neutral from top to bottom except for the 3kHz.
@@PrimeAudioReviews thank you for your help! Really appreciate it. Your replies always help me when making purchase decisions!
How would you compare these to the spaceship?
I haven't had a chance to hear the Spaceship.
How does it compare to SSP?
Tonality is very similar but the SSR has better technicalities i.e. soundstage, clarity, resolution.
I am getting the quarks for my mom next week :)
Great, I hope she enjoys them!
