Thank you for sharing Sis, I appreciate how you include the Lord in everything you do. We try to navigate life without him but he wants us to pray without ceasing, about everything include our hair. The Lord truly cares🙏🏾.
Plait ( Incl. mini braids) is my protective hairstyle due to the multitude of benefits. No other style can compare. (One style for all seasons of life) Welcome to the club❤
This video came right on time with me. The Holy Spirit has been telling me to drink more water, and be more calm rather than allowing stress to take over me. I also recently gave up wearing my hair in mini twists, now I am sticking with braids 90% of the time. I love twists but I am taking a break. Thanks for your content 💖
Omg! God is good! I’m going through the same thing right about now. I’m speaking to God as I’m finger detangling moisturizing and sealing. The tangles were getting out of hand and the Holy Spirit whispered to me as to how to apply the product and amazingly it immediately got better. Indeed God is inn everything! Having issues with my edges lately and praying to God concerning it too and I believe just as yours is growing back, mine will to IJN. Thank you for sharing sis and Hod bless you 🙏🏼🌹🥰
Yes!! Praise the Lord! So glad you were led in this direction. 💕💜 Plaits/braids definitely give the best return on investment regarding moisture retention, shed hair kept in place, and longevity. Usually twisted naturals don’t cross over to braids and braided naturals don’t crossover to twists! 😂 I’m definitely a braid girl! I can wash, henna treat, condition and put away all in plaits. It’s a hair game changer! If you manage to eventually wash in braids/plaits, let us know! I think you can make your plaits smaller on your own. It’ll take time but once you do it, it’s rinse and repeat if you maintain your parts. So happy for you and sighed a sigh of relief for you! 🥰🙌💕
Thank you so much, sis! I so much appreciated your comment on my previous video! It was so gracious and certainly came from someone who could relate as far as being a mother and the challenges of taking care of our hair. The tips you provided were very helpful. Thank you! I appreciate this comment too! God bless you and your family!❤️
I was a twist girl since 2008…just this year in May, I crossed over to mini braids. Now I’m actually retaining length and my hair is longer in areas I was having issues. Mini braids take forever but I think I’ll combine them after in finish taking them down
@christinam81 Yes! Braids will get you straight every time. Mini braids are a bit much for me. With 2 small children, there’s no time. I keep mine in the medium to small range. 🌸
Same… then it must be God. I kept feeling like I should not leave my hair in twists and keep them in plaits instead. He also led me to trim each knot with my scissors while I’m plaiting each section and I’ve been having less tangles.
Try avoiding tangles by keeping it slippery but not oily n wet. Moisten it each time you come into contact with it and massage it for a few seconds. Some people say thirty seconds with a scalp massager. Finger detangle a lot and before using brush or comb. Use satin and silk fabrics and wooden combs if possible.
Braids have been working well for me too for over two years now and I've retained a lot of length without bothering about tangles. I used to be stressed out by my hair until the Holy Spirit inspired protective style recycling and it made my journey much easier. I'm so happy for Mrs Umar. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love this, i have also been experiemnting on braids as a protective style for the past 8months now and i have been seeing great result with length retention so braids are definitely my go to this year😊.
Thanks for sharing! I find that even when I braid my hair like yours, my roots still get very dry and tangled when I take out the braids. The braided part is fine, but the part that is left open at the base does not stay as moisturized. To combat this, I have to either flat twist or cornrow my hair so that the twist or braid is flesh to the scalp. So, for those of you still experience dryness and tangles, especially at the root, try flat twisting or cornrowing….the hair at the scalp will stay just as moisturized. Also, if you’re experience tangling when you want to prep for a shampoo, keeping a pre poo product on hand like African Pride’s coconut water pre-poo treatment, does wonders for this problem. Your entire head will be detangled within a matter of minutes because of the slip. I used to panic in this situation before someone introduced me to this product.
I like my twist. So I would start to plait my hair down at the root and then twist the rest of the way down. So it won't get puffy at the root. I love your beautiful hair. I'm trying to grow my hair and for it to be healthy.
Sis, by God's grace, your hair is flourishing beautifully, and the braids are working well with your routine. Love that for you blessings, my dear ❤️ ❤❤
Plaits definitely keep my hair moisturized. I do a combination of plaits and canerows. I don't technically moisturize my hair daily once it's washed it's not wetted again until the next wash day but, I mixed castor oil with Shea butter and put that on my mids and ends and the castor oil will pull the water out of air to moisturize my hair. I've noted my hair likes to be parted neatly and even so now I take more time parting it.

I also learned that 4c hair does the best with braids.

YAY so glad you’re considering smaller braids!!! I believe it would be a great relief for you!!🙏🏾❤️

I needed this at the moment 🥹😍. Thanks so much for sharing, sis.
PS: I also noticed working with smaller chunks of my hair avoids tangles too.

It works for me this way and also plait all the way. When I twist down people see it and get scared asking if I cut my hair because it looks short.
AMEN! 🙌🏾 I was beginning to wonder if the Lord actually cared about my hair style or if it was me wanting a change!
Pretty long healthy hair!!!🔯💪🏾✝️
Beautiful hair ❤
God bless you abundantly
Love this! And I carry my son the same way on my back too😅❤
Oh nice! Sometimes it's necessary to get things done around the house, like hair 😃

Same! You’re a girl after my own heart. 😅 I thank the Lord for castor oil and Shea butter!!
@@A_Wilson Definitely my hair is so shiny.
Do you add some oil to the leave in conditioner
The leave in conditioner is formulated with oils; I also add our leave in conditioner after applying the leave in: payhip.com/b/bCBgT
You remind me of Debbi Morgan 💁🏽♀️ minus the dimples of course
Also is actually showing us what the Ancient Isrealites did with their haircare❤
LOVELY 🌹🌹🌹
