How to ACTUALLY push a wheelchair

Welcome to my crazy freewheeling life! Join with me, navigating from a wheelchair (blame troublesome Lupus for that), to explore the complex world of chronic illness, paraplegia and medicine. My aim with this channel is to help, educate and amuse those who may be in similar situation or to have a peek into my world of sport, specialists and spectacular health ups and downs.
So what’s in my bag? SLE Lupus (an autoimmune condition), T10 paraplegia, transverse myelitis, gastroparesis and lots and lots of fatigue, spasms and pain. What a mix!

How do push push using just one hand? Say you are holding something in your other hand?

Great question! Yes that is a little tricky because you end up going in circles, hahaha. I can do it if I do one push forward then a sharp little push back to counter the first. If I am holding something that can be tricky. I either swap the item from hand to hand with each push, or if it’s a drink I try to have a lid on it, like a keep cup. I hope that helps, I am looking at making a video of these little things later on.
