This time, we stayed at the prestigious "Nara Hotel" located in Nara. Established in 1909 (Meiji 42) as Kansai’s official guest house, the hotel sits within Nara Park. Due to its deep historical significance, it is also one of only nine hotels in Japan certified as a Classic Hotel.
In the main building, which remains as it was 115 years ago and embodies the fusion of Japanese and Western styles, you can experience the weight of history in an authentic atmosphere, unlike anything we've felt at other hotels.
Nara Hotel has a rich tradition of welcoming royalty, including the Emperor and Empress of Japan, as well as world-renowned figures like Albert Einstein and Audrey Hepburn. Naturally, the service and hospitality during our stay were impeccable.
This is the perfect hotel for those who prefer spending time in a classical, sophisticated hotel, rather than opting for modern trendy ones.
