i totally agree about the "too trendy" items: they make the outfit dated, and it's not a good thing if it's not retro/inspired by a specific time period. i tend to aquire statement pieces for my closet, but the obvious things that were in for the season sometimes make their way in. i have a pair of those dreaded banana jeans everyone was buying in 2020 (and i kinda liked them at the time), but i have basically no use for them since last fall ps: also congratulations! you look so cute and precious holding your baby 😭🖤

Like the ugg shoes are sooo UGGly in my opinion (those 'bread' models lol) and I remember years and years ago I literally started to like them. Fortunately, the desire to get a pair passed quite quickly 😂
