My family lived on Guam about 1970. We lived on the eastern side of the island in the community of Talafofo. Our home was 2 houses down from a place called "Jones" something. I don't remember the exact name. But it was a place that was set up where the owner could have beach party's. There was a no trespassing sign, but that didn't stop us kids from going there. On the reef behind our house were structures made from six 50gal drums filled with concrete and fixed together like a 6-pack. There were two of them. We were told they dated back to WW2. I once had a terrifying experience while babysitting too, that caused me to crawl through the house trying to figure out what to do. I was completely convinced someone was running around inside while I had the girls in the tub. It turned out to be a very badly malfunctioning furnace the parents forgot to tell me about. 🤦 Took probably 20 years off my life that night.
That's funny. Unfortunately, I had a very scary babysitting experience at 11 years old. I was sitting for a friend of my mothers baby, and a man came to the back door, smiling and telling me to let him in. (saying that he was the baby's grandfather, and it was ok) My 6th sense was firing, and I knew that he was lying. He became angy after a little while of persisting, and began pounding on the glass door, and demanding that I let him in. Thankfully, I knew better. After about 10 mins, he left, and I ran around the house, locking the doors and windows. Then I heard him trying to open windows. I was debating grabbing the baby and running to a neighbor's house, or calling the police and hoping they'd get there on time. My mind was racing and I remember the adrenaline rushing. Then, I started hearing loud, metalic, pounds outside, and they were getting louder. (I knew that he was still trying to get in, somehow.) So, I ran to the baby's room, and picked him up. He was fast asleep and started crying. I ran to the back door with him in my arms, and jumped when a figure appeared in the window. Fortunately, it was police officers, and I could see their badges. They told me to open the door, but I was so terrified that I refused. It probably took 20 mins of coaxing and showing me their badges before I finally agreed, and I think it was because I could hear a woman neighbor out there. It turned out that she had called the police when she saw through her kitchen house window, that a man was trying to break into the bulkhead outside (the steel, entry door to their basement). It turned out that he was a known pedofile. He must have seen me go in and the mother leave, and put 2x2 together that I was there alone, babysitting.

It sounds like the park rangers used the 1 bear per square mile to discourage them from camping there. They probably knew there were squatches in the area.
Yes, if you think these Rangers don't KNOW something is going on across the country, park to park, your crazy. They definitely know there are BF in their parks. Major Kudos to the Lady that was the 11 year old girl! I turned 10 yrs. old in Dec. 1966. I remember seeing the Patty film, which ran as a special feature before the movie Born Free, in the winter of 1967/68. The following summer, I heard what I think was the Boggy Creek monster, at church camp. If he came for preaching, he was six hours late. That was nearly four years before the movie came out. The sixties were wild and wooly years.

Me thinks it can be expensive to feed them as a peace offering though.
@@Douginont Yes, I bet it would be expensive to feed them. A few treats would not cost too much. I think kindness goes along way with humans and creatures! ;) Kind regards.
Love hearing you talk and encouraging people.
Hank trying to steal the show 😂😂 You're beautiful fur babies are as famous as you Cam!! 😊💚💚
LOVE all these stories you read to everyone.
👍👍👍
KEEP them coming ok.

I laugh everytime I hear these stories and ppl think, "we will just stay in this thin, easily collapsable tent, we'll b safe here!" Lol
Perfect! Nice little video before I go to bed! Thanks Mr.Dixie!!!! ♥️
Another great post Cam ,yes it is you and the stories that make Dixie Cryptid thank you and can't wait for the next one 🦍🦍🇨🇦 Craig. Have a great one!
Don't mind him Hank.... He probably needs his belly and ear scratched. Oh, he probably needs to go to the fire hydrant too! 🤔🤗
It sounds like the park rangers used the 1 bear per square mile to discourage them from camping there. They probably knew there were squatches in the area.
It's most likely due to the cover up. I'd say you're right.
Yes, if you think these Rangers don't KNOW something is going on across the country, park to park, your crazy. They definitely know there are BF in their parks. It's disappointing to know that Rangers and camp officials don't close camps or tell campers to go somewhere else just because of the revenue that camping brings to the area. To hell with your safety.
This family of people are the most decent on the Internet. Cam, you've created a great environment here, one filled with people who actually like each other and respect what you and the contributors do.
I haven't created the group. I think good and nice people are drawn to each other. Thanks so much for noticing. I love this weird group of folks! LOL...
I want to commend that young Girl who was babysitting and armed herself and locked the doors and listened thru the door area to make sure it wasn't getting into the Kids room. She was very mature for her years and very smart! It's obvious why people trusted her with their Kids, when she was so young. GREAT STORY! And about the 2 Brothers camping....I see below that one of the Brothers said he's considering going back. I hope you do and I hope you 'slay that dragon' (meaning that it's no longer a grey cloud over your head) and that you guys have a peaceful and wonderful time. Keep up the great work Dixie Cryptid....always love your channel!
Thank you ...this one was scary . Great story-telling Cam. That creature KNEW to go to the doors and WHERE the doors were and HOW the doors worked. Oh. That is very scary.
NO KIDDING!!! THAT SCARES THE HOLY BEEJEEBERS OUT OF ME!!!
I like it that she crawled to the knife drawer and armed herself
I do believe Bigfoot is attracted to kids more then adults just my opinion great stories cam now please give Hank a cookie lol!!
They are more tender
What a sicko, let's get bigfoot!
@@tatevancleve1802 - If you're posting at the guy above you, he is probably thinking from bigfoots point of view. He might be joking.
@@donolinger6904 ya I was joking too. To the comment that bigfoot was attracted to kids. I get what op was trying to say. I was acting like I didnt understand & took the comment as that bigfoot was literally attracted to kids in which case where are the pitchforks & torches.
Absolutely love all these.. those teenagers stories were incredible.. totally visual.. like being right there... now that’s some good writing... carry on gentleman 🌞
When I see a new post, I save it for the end of the day. I really love looking forward to my DC time. Thank you for all you do.❤
Thank you !
Great encounters, I thought the last one was amazing. How an 11 year old girl kept bigfoot away from the little ones. She showed spunk even though she was scared. Great stories and take care everyone. PS thanks Hank for the laugh 😂
Omg! I live in Va.! I always wondered if there was one located on the blue ridge parkway or sky line drive!! Very interesting! Thanks for this story! Can’t wait to hear more stories in Va.!
Dagnabbit Hank!! Hush up!! (Shakes and flops ears around) lmao Ah, I miss having a dog!!
Thank you for this wonderful channel! You do a great job narrating. I love how gentle you are with your comments. And tell Hank hi!😂
"...wave at it...", too funny! Come to think of it, I'd probably do the same 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You mentioned the last story sounded like it could be a movie or something. When the story came to the part of the noise in the bathroom I immediately thought of the old Legend of Boggy Creek movie. I was anticipating a hand coming through the window. That was one brave kid to go through all that and still have the sense to call the police. Thanks for posting these stories!
Wow Cam , really gd man! .. When you put yourself in these peoples shoes .. Its just off the chain !! Great job buddy !!👍😁👣👣👣👣👣💈!!
Omg.....had a full day at work and driving back to office .winding down with bigfoot stories ..love your platform Cam ..your stories are awesome.....thanks from one of your ppl....
I loved the stories and you did an awesome job as always but your getting on to Hank had me laughing so hard my eyes teared up. I guess it just hit my funny bone. Scratch ole Hank behind the ear and tell 'em Wes says thanks for the laugh ! LOL
Lol I love hearing you ramble on & on when you start thinking about stuff!!!! You're so funny!!!!
My daughter is 2 years old and we love going to sleep to your voice, hearing you read the stories, but i had to cut down on the stories as she stays up listening to you lol one time i fell asleep before her and she slapped me and said mum listen. You are pretty much all she listens to. We love you
Actually I know exactly what that's like...they tried to open my trailer door one night lol....wasn't pretty! Thanks again Sir!
Major Kudos to the Lady that was the 11 year old girl! I can see why she was a great babysitter; she grabbed the biggest kitchen knife she could could find & prepared to defend herself and the younger children while calling the Police. She's a WARRIOR❣Wow, I certainly would've trusted her with my children. And, listeners, Reno was a small cow town in 1966, thank goodness!!! Cops got there quickly & verified the young lady's story. Great story, from one female warrior to another. I would love to meet this lady; I believe we'd become good friends! Thanks Cam. As always, great narration! From one of your people, Lindsay, Sacramento🥰
Oh wow, all these events are really something !!! That one in Vegas though, it really gave me the chills ! 😬 What a brave girl she was ... 😑☺️
Another great story. God bless you 😇🙏 and you house hold. Especially your dogs
Love your show Cam! Thank you for sharing! Love all your B F stories! Best Regards. Karen
Hey Mr. Dixie! Love your stories-enjoy the intro music! Great voice!😃👍🏻❤️
" Alright, here we go!" I look forward to hearing you say that. Bow season for Deer started here. My hubby went hunting this morning and bagged a fat yearling buck. Made me think of Frank the Tank. 😀 That was the first story we heard you tell.
I love that one also!
@@Justplainweirdla that story is so funny I laugh just thinking about it. I shared the link with tons of people.
give that dog of yours a good ear scratch ing and a few good pats, maybe even a big ole hug.
See that's why we love our Cam! Encourage that gentlemen to return to the trails now matter what age! It's about the quality of life.
I love to listen to these while I work out. Keep these stories coming!
Cam never mind lol i had to go into my you tube app to access the video with volume.. weird but i got it now lol. Ty 4 sharing
The background you have on while you are reading these stories, is soooooooo! Peaceful, and relaxing. Luv it!
Omg!! That 11 year old is badass!! You go girl!! I'd be so proud of my baby for taking charge of a situation like that 💚 I am so glad that you got yourself and those lil ones out of that bind safely! Tough cookie 😊💚💚💚
Cam, we do love to hear you ramble and your pets! Lol. One thing I enjoy more than good'ole country folks encounters is encounters from police. They are train observers. I truly enjoyed every encounter. I hope the brothers go camping again, as well. Kind regards.
I get super excited when I get the notifications of your videos. It's like a huge surprise for me and my daughter. "Will today be the day? What encounters or sightings will we hear today?" We are never disappointed and keep waiting with bells on. And thank you Hank for the great laugh!
Me too 😁
THIS VIDEO WITH THE COWS IS LOVELY! WISH I LIVED THERE! THANKS FOR POSTING. LOVE THE VIDEOS!
Ha Ha Ha! That sudden "Hey! HEY! Can you be quiet..." interlude was funny. Your spontaneity on this channel is one of the best things about it.
Thank you for taking the time to make this channel such a wonderful place to visit every day!
Margret....I have more fun doing this than you do watching. I promise. Thank you ma'am
Cam…..you crack me up. My husband and I just love your channel!
Dear Cam, thanks so much for reading my babysitting story. It was scary enough, can you imagine if I saw the thing! People, be careful what you wish for!
Thank you Julie. Great story ! and SCARY !
*I just have to lay back and relax and listen to these stories.*
Bigfoot's at the back door! Where's my knife?
🔪😧...

Hey D.C.! I live in Ar, transplanted from California. Everytime I say,"C'ome on Lets go"! I think of you! Love it! Love the channel!
What a brave little girl!! Yes she is who you want watching you're children.

Thanks for the cows video. They look so content just grazing around.
yes sir another phenomenal episode from my favorite brother from another mother love this channel great stories & great folks dnt get any better than that 👍
Glad you are doing more videos. Thanks
Wow the babysitting story was wild.
I was holding my breath, in fear for the children.
I can imagine how scared that little girl was.
Maybe the big foot smelled food in the house.
I'm certainly glad that the police sirens scared
him away. So the children weren't harmed.
Spine tingling story. 😱 I Loved it.
Thanks to the Dixie Cryptid channel for the
wonderful narration.👍
I really love cow faces.💗😂 They’re so cute.💗
Fabulous encounters yet again! Thank you sir! ❤
That 11 year old girl she must of been really scared. Bless her heart. I really hope she's doing ok.

My Dad helped build the Skyline Drive in the CCCs...been down the Skyline Drive a lot of times going to Hopewell and Virginia Beach.
Hank, don't make me stop this car. 🐩
Wow great stories and the last one proves that they are intelligent. Keep up the great work.
Always luv the stories and your dogs just make me laugh when they decide to join in😁😁
I like the ones from Michigan. That last one was great. Brave young lady. I’m surprised the police admitted that it had large bare foot feet. They usually say it was a bear. Great job Cam
1976 was 43 years ago. I graduated from high school that year. In 1974 or '75 I camped, by myself, near the Meherrin River in Brunswick County, VA. I camped without a tent and slept on the ground. I heard a lot of critter sounds but nothing ever bothered me.
Three great encounters.
I can just see you waving to bigfoot. 👋
Are you getting ready for the Florida expedition? Are you going to be one of the cameramen? Can you say "Alright, Here we Go!" when you are filming? You will have some great stories to tell us......Love your show! You the Man!
Those are some good looking cattle there. 🐂🐃🐄
That was so funny. I thought it was my dog whining at me.
Thank you , if I don't get to say it before than , have a Blessed Thanksgiving
Poor Hank just coming to spend some quality time with Dad and he gets yelled at. How about next time you say ... hey Hank good to see ya buddy, I’m a bit busy here lay down please... tone is everything. Btw love it when your animals interrupt!!
