Lionheart, you should make this a full map conquest. After stacking all the mantle of skulls buffs and other buffs, you can easily steamroll through the whole map. Herald the end times in khorn's name!!
    Blood for the blood god!
    Skull for the skull throne!!!

    Contest of Champions #11
"Let me be clear to you, Nurgle scum, you only have value because you are reporting the progress of this deal to your master and because you can heal my soldiers," Aldubric growls as his forces go into battle while the Battle for the Ziggurat of Dawn commences as well. "The boon of perfect vigor that the Bretonnians gave my army may not seem like much, but it better seem like I was cheated when this contract is done! Especially since you have me fighting dwarfs and now I'll have to deal with a grudge." The Nurgle sorcerer simply nods, and lets the battle take the chaos lord's attention off of him. This will be the first armed clash between Aldubric and the dwarfs. When Skulltaker teleports down to Itza, the third battle is underway between Aldubric and the dwarfs, but he isn't the only one who finds themselves in battle.
"Furies," Angar shouts as he moves forward with his infantry, "pin the enemy's cavalry and hold them there alongside our chaos knights until the khorngors catch up and finish them. Then move on and finish the enemy's missile infantry with the cavalry. Khorngors, when our foes' cavalry is eliminated, turn on the enemy's flanks and help yourself to skulls. Everyone else, forward into battle and expect the toughest melee fighting we've seen yet. Keep them busy and find a seam for Droshgnar and I, we'll deal with the enemy's leadership!"
"I presume that we're securing a route for supplies to flow to Skulltaker's army as he continues his bloody march south?" Droshgnar asks as the two move quickly to keep up with their infantry. Their paired axes whirling in their hands like those of the chaos warriors ahead of them to block projectiles. Everything was calm and there wasn't any sign of an opposing army, and then suddenly, this one came out of seemingly nowhere. Angar confirms the exalted hero's hunch as they are about to enter melee. Joining the fray as enemy spells begin to fall upon their army's ranks, the duo finds that they have run into perhaps the last place to go if they want to quickly punch through to their enemy's leadership. Saurus spears and shields meet them at every turn along with small but noticeable injuries. No one blow is enough to worry about, but neither man can deny that in numbers, these wounds could pose a problem. Working with the chaos warriors around them, who are likewise in a state of frenzy and slowly finding their way into the enemy's formation, some breathing room emerges for the two elites and they find chances to duck momentarily from combat and let a chaos warrior take their place. Then they come right back around and strike down the distracted foe.
Despite heavy efforts to break through the saurus line, neither exalted hero or chaos lord can find the crack they need to slip through as spells from the Lore of Beasts empower the lizardmen soldiers. This is somewhat mitigated by the lizardmen lord coming for Angar with a saurus scar-veteran challenging Droshgnar, but their opponents are fresh where the Khornite warriors aren't and the skills between them are near equal. Only when the khorngors attack the main lizardmen line does the tide turn towards the forces of Khorne, and yet this doesn't change the situation that the two elites find themselves in as they stand in the center of the battle line. Both sides in this contest of champions wear each other down, with Angar and Droshgnar finding themselves on the losing end.
As blood runs down his arms and his shoulders burn while his knees ache, Angar remains defiant against the lizard and fights on, keeping himself alive as he watches his heavy cavalry swoop in from behind and give him a much needed distraction to use against the saurus old-blood. With a swift blow, Angar claims his latest skull as his pauldrons rise and fall with his shoulders.
With a chance to talk again, Droshgnar turns left to face Angar and asks, "How did this army get so close to us without us realizing it sooner?"
"I don't know," and Angar holds up his trophy, "but you and I each have something that may help us. I do the best that I can to ensure that you can keep your own trophy." He looks around them at the jungle landscape, and the exalted hero's point becomes even more painfully clear, the terrain itself shouldn't have hidden this foe for as long as it did. "Something else was at play...and I think that I know who it was from personal experience." A chaos knight rides up behind Angar, and he turns to ask, "how much of this force did you prevent from escaping?"
"All but one, my lord," the chaos knight replies. "A lone enemy soldier of some importance, but they vanished while we dealt with the enemy's missile infantry."
"Which means that they could do this to us again," Angar surmises with a grim tone. "Let's make camp and lick our wounds. This is only the beginning, and I suspect that Tzeentch or his followers may meddle with us again."

I love the idea of having a couple “regular” armies stay in Lustria dominating it and just jump Skulltaker all over the planet sniping every single legendary lord who’s still alive and see how many defeated lord traits you can get him… use your heroes out on the map to find targets to jump to.

The drain is because the new army needs to get its bloodletting up to reduce upkeep but you probably also want to go through the blue line for it to also reduce upkeep as well as any skills the lord might have to reduce upkeep.

The skullreaper and wrathmonger units are very strong. By far the strongest unit to have in a 'mortal' army

    Hey Lionheart,
    1. After the battle replace the Chaos Lord of Khorne with a Bloodspeaker, The Chaos Lord has serve his purpose, And dump the Hounds of the Blood Hunt (Flesh Hounds of Khorne) and Blood Shrine of Khorne into the second stack and also Tim the Skullcounter because you will eventually get both Karanak and Skarr Bloodwrath and Bloodspeakers are very weak in combat and needs a Melee Specialist and finally recruit two units of Khorngors and one unit of Bloodbeasts of Khorne in there place.
2 17:55 You really should accept some Ally mission for more points.

I'm really not bothered about using any non Khorne troops this run tbh, think I'm going to destroy the outpost as I don't want to interact with it at all.

If your not going to get some Missile Infantry, Then why not rebuild the Outpost to hopefully get Monster units from the Dark Elves like the War Hydra/Black Dragon/Bloodwrack Medusa would be fun to see fighting along side Khorne units.

Has anyone had the bug/glitch for unlocking skarr bloodbath. Doing a skulltaker campaign, built the khornate totem building... the one that allows you to recruit skullreapers etc. Quest for skarr never fired/popped for me. Can anyone help?

please dont use dark elves units, Skulltake is OP as is, dark shard will make this campaing so easy that it will be boring to watch, use the race you are playing....

I couldn't disagree more with this sentiment. Use the Dark Elves to your heart's content! Trust me dark elves are the least of OP things about Skulltaker, and it's glorious!

Seconded, Skulltaker's broken and his mechanics are already boring as it is. Missile infantry would just make it worse in this case. I genuinely think that The Changeling's RoC campaign was more interesting than whatever this is. Hell, give me the base RoC campaign. At least that campaign doesn't feel like it is over in a few hours, or in this case, 10 episodes.
