You can't beat the versatility of a hook truck.I run some rental bins as passive income between excavating.That's a nice clean truck.I'd be oil spraying that machine.
Totally agree! I’d like to get a few more cans for it so I can rent them out as well but prices are crazy. I fluid film it twice a year.
top idea using that size truck for deliveries also clean the rubbish from the bottoms of your totes instead of the customer getting it just a little tip cheers

Jake I learned to drive dump trucks on International trucks in the seventies.great trucks. Being that much higher at the bed it dumps a much neater pile than a dump trailer others use.dont spead it out 40 ft like they do. 👍👍

Air brakes don't automatically require a CDL if the truck is 26,000 pounds GVWR or less. However, for trucks above 26k with air brakes, it takes a CDL with an air brake endorsement.

u have to go like 10'' higher to get a full face cord in those ibc's totes
I fill in the gap in the center of the totes to compensate for this.
That truck works great, i was wondering how good it would dump looks good you dont habe to hook up your dump tailer and try backing it in because some places are tight with a truck and tailer, keep up the good work enjoy your videos
Thanks Larry, it does work well. It acts just like a dump truck when the van is fully stowed and dumps quite well. It’s pretty much at high chest height on me ~56”
Pretty slick operation there. I have a tractor but it's on last legs. And barely picks up 10bails of hay
I dream of having equipment. But all I got is my truck a small trailer. A old log splitter And a bunch of ported saws

Thank you Eric! It’s not what you have it’s how you use it! But having newer equipment always helps 😂 I’ve worked and continue to work very hard to have what I have and love every minute! Slow and steady wins the race!
How do you think it would work if you left the top rung on the totes? In the way for loading? I cut mine out but I never tried to dump them so I leave the bottom two in.
I’m not quite sure, I’ve thought about doing this but loading the totes would be a real pain having to dodge the top bar.

Would some of your bulk customers like to have the wood in the tote? Charge a deposit that is refunded upon return. You could load and unload totes and they could avoid the labor and cost of restacking the wood. If you really want to do a premium service add wheels that lock so the customer can move them easily. They would probably be willing to pay more for the convenience. Obviously this would be best with regularly schedule repeat bulk customers.
The issue here is being able to unload the full totes at the customers house. I’d have to bring the tractor with me.
Pretty clean hook lift truck. How many miles did you say it had on it? And how much did you pay for it?

How much do you get for a tote of firewood?
It depends on the size of the tote and some other factors. I don’t really share my pricing.
If he orders again skip the step of loading the international and just drive the tractor over twice and dump the totes on-site.
I offered to deliver the wood stacked in the totes and I’d pick them up when empty since he was so close but he had racks he wanted to stack it on. Plus it’s kind of a busy road so I just figured the truck was safer!
