For the fun I went back and played motogp 07 and 09/10 and SBKX on xbox360. SBK10 still holds up today. Great game with a lot of tweaking of the bike. I wish they could take that tweaking from SBKX and the bike development from motogp 9/10, and the modern physics of the motogp games.... Would be so good.
My copy is in the PS5 as I write, doing the inevitable day 1 patch download. Will take about an hour - don't know if because its a huge patch or my internet is slow (Australia has shit internet) it's possibly both. Looking forward to R5 as I quite enjoyed R4 so I'm expecting this to be an evolution more than a revolution which I'm fine with. It looks good so far, and if it's getting you a run for your money Dr A, then it will be a bigger challenge for a muppet like me. Cheers!
Ai looks surprisingly good, I always end up picking up ride well after its out. Maybe this will change. Love the content, your my go to for all the sim motoness.
Hello, I have a dumb question (for you or anyone here lol). I know the initial overview covered it, but I either skimmed too briefly, or thought I understood something that turns out I didn't. Can someone explain how the career event/progression works? I thought it was basically earn enough points to complete the 3-race (for ex) event and move on. If you do well enough, you get a bike. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. I completed the first event (3-races) and earned a bike. I went onto the 2nd event (3 races, maybe 4?) and didn't do as well. OK, fair enough. Went on to the head-to-head and beat him. That's when I noticed the little Laurel which if I recall, means I *really* beat the event, instead of simply completing it. A-ha! I should go back to those previous ones! So I went back to the first event (3-races) and noted I think a 3rd, 4th, and ... terrible :P - so decided to redo that terrible one. When I did, it appeared to restart the ENTIRE event, and not just that race. So I had to do all three again. Which I did - and scored better finishes. However, I still had the same number of points displayed! So I guess I do not understand how the points work for events - or maybe even events as a whole. Thanks to anyone :)
@@DrAce46 The thing that confused me most though is that my points remained 96/124 (or something like that). Both before and after I redid all 3. Even though I did much better the second time around. Also, it remained "completed" (I'll call it). What does it take to get the FULL pass - winning all 3? Edit: I forgot to add that I appreciate you taking the time to respond 🙂
I'm a bit confused about what RIDE is as I've only ever played/followed MotoGP. Are these just stock street bikes? And is this a local/regional cup? The game looks amazing though. Very tempting to try it. :D
they are a mix of stock and racing bikes, but they are all stock derived. Races are not part of any official championship, they can be considered local amateur races for all intents and purposes
Are you always playing in 3rd person? is that the best option? I enjoyed 1st person with leaning in RIDE 4 but i do feel it makes it a bit harder to hit right apexes tho
How do you unlock the motorcycle in the 2nd level? I got 3 gold and a silver i.e. 135/145 points.. still was short of 10 points to unlock the motorcycle. So, does that mean we need all 4 golds (1st position wins) to unlock?
The only problem with your RIDE 5 videos, is that "The other famous RIDE player who's name I won't mention" is also uploading the career mode videos on his YT channel 5 hours before you every day... I really love your videos but it's hard to watch the exact same races twice. Will you also be uploading non-career videos of RIDE 5 soon? Maybe do an endurance race in RIDE 5, as nobody else has done one yet on TH-cam?
I’ve got an endurance race planned very soon 🔥 but don’t forget I do upload videos every single day all year round 🙏🏻 so there’s lots of content coming from me
4:03 Tracklimits are optional. Great content mate
Haha thanks mate
Nice and smooth 👌
I always end up getting torpedoed when I am in the pack at the first turn 😢
Thanks bud, oh no that’s a shame. I’ve only had that at some tracks

Yeah I loved the SBK games from SBK 08 to Generations 🔥🔥
Dr. Smooth! Great riding! cant wait to get my hands on it.
Haha thanks mate! 🙏🏻 not long now buddy!!

The reason it restated is because it would have been a championship. I don’t believe you can restart the championship races 🤔
To clarify I mean, you can’t restart by the round you’re on. You must complete the championship and then start again

No problem mate, did you get to the bottom of this? I’m still not 100% sure what happened
I would love to see one video of you doing helmet cam on ride 5
Coming soon mate :D

I couldn’t have put it better myself mate 🔥

For me it is the complete opposite. First person is the one, which makes me hit the corners way better
I do a mixture but predominately I use 3rd person as people don’t tend to watch 1st person as much

Yeah you need to win pretty much everything for maximum points
Any ideas when it’s coming out on pc mate?
Tomorrow at 6pm BST I think
@@DrAce46 thanks mate
Sorry if I repete myself but the game really has come on more simcade than cadesim maybe, Great Stuff to watch !!
Haha I don’t know the difference pal 😂
Then put the drivings aid on off, or lower them when driving.
the Monza circuit is just a few km from where I live. It's a Formula 1 circuit, I don't like it for bikes.
Yeah me neither mate, iconic circuit with incredible history but I’m just not a fan 😂
