@@WeirdFactsAboutSuperHeroes I do have an obscure character. In Fantastic Four #203 (Feb 1979), there was a young black child who was a mutant, he couldn't control his realty warping powers. In The Art of John Byrne (1980) in his interview, he mentioned using this kid in an upcoming X-men book. This new book eventually became the New Mutant series, but he wasn't in the series. I never knew it he appeared again, or if he was reworked as the reality warping mutant Proteus, that first appeared in X-men in the latter half of 1979.
Also, I find the little-known Golden Age Heroes who founded the V- Battalion, and hunted nazi war criminals after WW2, to be fascinating as well. One of the characters was the 2nd Bucky, that replaced the original who died in 1945, But now we know he became The Winter Soldier.
