- We post the second of two reviews of the best rated (by visitors) steakhouses in KRAKOW. There is healthy debate about which steak house in Krakow Old Town is better - Sioux or Moo Moo. Well now you can watch our vlogs / reviews on both Krakow steak restaurants and decide for yourself!
Sioux has an American ranch house vibe, is very popular and has a great atmosphere. And it's right on the Main Square
Moo Moo actually has three locations in Krakow center. We went to the one just off Main Square on Sienna St, by the smaller square behind the basillica. Moo moo has a more refined vibe.
I enjoyed Sioux. We went there first. I said I'd go back.
Then, we tried Moo Moo. GAME OVER. I've been travelling 30 years, lived in the US for over 20 years, eaten at steakhouses in Argentina and Brazil. Moo Moo was one of the best steaks I ever had. The NY Strip, Medium. Fantastic flavour. Cooked perfectly. Juicy. No need for sauce. Great service. It was hard to fault really. A great place. Not cheap for Krakow - was almost $100 for two of us, you could have three Polish food dinners for that. But it was worth it. Will absolutely go back.

Thank you for your review. Your choice of dishes - superb! I like how you presented Moo Moo from the outside and the restaurant layout inside. Both dishes looked absolutely mouthwatering when you zoomed in on both plates. Nina's roasted veggies on the side was a brilliant match. What a lovely dining experience you've had♡♡

It's always nice when you walk around the restaurant and show us the ambience. Comparing Sioux and Moo Moo, I like the interior of Moo Moo more. Anyway, another good find!

What could possibly be a better start to the New Year than a hearty meal with a large steak for the main course, and a glass of good wine to top it up.
Mmm, you made me hungry. I have a piece of great spiced pork neck in the kitchen, should go down well with roast potatoes and a mix of vegetable salads. So I am leaving you for now 😉, see you in your next video.🙂

Based on your two videos, my impression is the following. Sioux is maybe fancier, its interior design etc., but as regards the food, for me Moo Moo wins on all accounts. Definitely. I knew it as soon as I saw your soups and then the rest, even before you started eating (btw, Sioux's steak didn't seem half kilo to me, but less). The beef, vegetables, sauces, all a category above Sioux. Also the waiter was cooperative - Moo Moo seems cozier, friendlier and unpretentious.
I'm enjoying seeing the feedback here and in facebook communities. Sioux has a lot of fans who are pretty passionate about it. More than Moo Moo. I agree with everything you note. Based on our experiences, Moo Moo was the winner for us. It's clear it comes down to personal taste. I think the 2 videos can help diners pick the place that's more likely to suit their tastes so if they can only go to one they have more chance of making a better choice
Piemento also has fans but I was hugely disappointed there twice last year
For a number of viewers they didn't like Moo Moo's medium being so 'red' rather than pink. But that was a perfect medium. We will check out a couple of other places too

I've been to some great steak places in the US. This beef yesterday was as good as I remember tasting for a long time, so seemed like it was on par with the US. But I paid a lot more in the US

Yum I thought, by the looks, Moo Moo steak seems better than Sioux 😄
Sioux certainly seems more popular, but Moo Moo is more me. And Moo Moo got 'medium' right in my opinion - Sioux was only a little bit pink.
