As someone who is just now staring to take this game seriously and wanting to get good, this gameplay blows my mind and makes me realize how bad I am.
My recommendation is just pick 3 characters and go into practice mode a LOT and learn your combos by heart. After that find someone to challenge (a friend or someone online) and practice with them so you don’t ruin your stats. It’ll give you a chance to learn all other characters’ combos. So when you go online you’re more prepared. That’s the system I use at least.
I played with tigerzz back on mkx, dude single-handedly made that game my favorite; it’s really nice to see him tearing it up on the pro scene on mk1 got high hopes for the homie

@kennel878Xx just get in casual you'll be paired up against other people of equal skill. I'm 55-50 right now lol. I either destroy someone, or get destroyed. I have a baby and not as much time to play as some of the try hards but I don't really care If I lose.
@@NooDLES411911 you know even though I haven't the slightest clue sometimes as to what combo I'm doing sometimes the button stringing I do with certain characters is just 🔥 for example my Bo Rai Cho, jason Vorhees and Leatherface in MKX I can combo streak really good in even alien, Scorpion, Mileena, Tanya, Kung Jin I can do major impressive (to me) strings. So far I'm doing decently well with Smoke and Baraka in MK1 even Sub Zero too. Ive just had such a skill fear I guess the past few years. I really should get back into online and what not. My favorite MK is absolutely X . I'm 22 so I can understand being adulting is interfering
Wow Mortal Kombat has changed a lot since the old Mortal Kombats I used to play on the console systems lol. This game looks awesome though. I was nasty at some of the older Mortal Kombats. Thinking about starting to play myself, been awhile though, and it would take me some serious time to get the hang of it.

Kenshi isn’t cheap. A lot of puppet characters in fgs are good. Take Zato from GG for example.
Kenshi is not cheap, you need to put time and knowledge of mashup to not screw it up, especially you are stupidly bad when the ghost goes away, also NRS already nerfed him twice lmao.
Simply the puppet character archetype is one of the most versatile in fighting games for example Zato in GG being nerfed is still being used or menat in SF5, also the MK community is still not used to fight with a character of that style Kenshi is the first NRS character with that kind of gameplay.

@@blankblankerson it's too early to have a very complete opinion of the game but in my opinion MK1 is a good step up from MK11 (it wasn't too difficult either tbh).
it has its problems clearly, but I'm genuinely enjoying it more than MK11, it feels "closer" to MK9 than MKX, while it feels like there are still bones of MK11 in MK1 once you get into the game things get faster and deeper, NRS has given a stronger gameplan identity to the characters (they feel more complete than ever without the variations) the kameos for me are the best thing about the game , they have so much versatility for the player's expression (defensive, offensive, oki, etc) they make everything more flashy (I saw a Nitara combo where she teleported from one side to another with motaro in the same combo) and they can create quite degenerate situations hahaha.
But not to make it longer if you don't feel safe buying the game wait for a sale or when they release the expansion, there's really no rush to jump into the game.😄

@@blankblankerson he’s been a puppet character for years he used his clone in different ways throughout the games but was fully involved in MK10 compared to the previous games before he had certain moves where he used his clone to attack during combos or jus using special moves so he’s actually always been one you just don’t pay attention lol
