it is a big role in a relationship, but it's definitely not a priority because we clearly witness men who cheat to satisfy the sexual desires that their current partner can't please and still live happily with them, yet same thing happens to a woman but they tend to just completely find a person unattractive after a while if they don't please them sexually, sara basically describing befriending a person before any sexual acts to which eventually can lead to both a stronger connection or a deterrent

I was in a 7 year relationship that started with no sex for the first 6 months, I proved to her that I wasn’t just trying to hit it and quit it. That was hard to do but there’s still men that genuinely want more than just sex.

    • @Blastizor
      @Blastizor 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

For me to do that, the girl would have to be a virgin or had maybe 1 relationship where she also did the exact thing with that person, and i'd have to truly believe her, i would know by judging her character and watching her lifestyle very closely. Anyway, for me when i truly like/love a girl i don't even think about having sex with her whatsoever, i see sex as a secondary outcome if we were to be in a relationship, because my natural instinct towards a girl who i love is that i want to show her love and affection by treating her nice and being there for her, and protecting her. Then there's girls who i see as only short term girls that are pretty much only good for sex based on their behavior and persona.

I think when people go to the extreme with sex , there’s really no coming back from that and a traditional, long lasting relationship is something that won’t satisfy them.

As a guy that is waiting until after marriage, I can confirm that not all guys base at least a part of their opinion about a partner on sex. I believe connection both verbally (good communication) and emotionally are what matters the most. And yes appearance matters somewhat. Partly because you want to be with someone you enjoy looking at for the rest of your life. I mean it’s a long time potentially. And partly looks matter to a degree because if someone is not taking care of themselves then they probably won’t be good at taking care of their spouse and children. So I would say Sara is at least mostly right on the subject. Some of us guys are deep enough that we would even still marry a girl that we couldn’t ever sleep with if we had that true connection with her that we all crave. Reproductive urges and the natural instinct to spread seed are in every guy. But some guys grow to where they control what urges they allow and what they decide is most important to them.

I get what Brad is saying but I think the caveat is that it depends on the woman the guy is considering. There’s women I’ve considered being with without considering the sexual aspect. Some women you align with so well that the sex part doesn’t even matter, better yet you just know the physical aspect is going to be off the charts cause you have that kind of connection with them. With these type of women I feel like the sex is such an afterthought.

I agree with Sara, Brad is my guy, I support/ defend him on basically everything ( I hope to meet him one day) but I am waiting til marriage, I want to have sex with a lot of women, but as a God fearing man I choose not too, I will not lose control, I win and I am saving the sexual experience for my wife, I’m not choosing my wife based off of sex, sex is supposed to be to create a child and have intimacy with another human being, to bond you with that other human being, a marriage without sex, does not last long at all, A couple that is not having sex start getting angry with each other quicker, they start arguing. because they’re not as close. I have dated a woman before and I did not f*ck her, and I would die for her, I truly wanted the best for her, I wanted her to be my wife, she was the sweetest, funny, smart, beautiful, and most importantly, she had a relationship with God.
So if the lovely lady Sara happens to read this, don’t give it away just to find a husband, there are Christian men making money, tall, strong, handsome men that will treat you how you’re supposed to be treated, that don’t need you just for sex, now you also have to put something into the relationship of course, being a good person in general. Being a caring, sweet, funny, reserved, Godly woman will get you the man you want, pray and ask God, he will provide, he always does, he may not provide you exactly exactly what you want, how you want it but in the end, it’s what is best.
I enjoy listening to mommy and daddy talk very much each week, please keep up the good work, from my hard heart I truly say, I am very appreciative to everyone making this podcast possible🫡

@@imthel0rd There is no such thing as an innocent person unless they're a baby. That's like saying there is a person who hasn't committed a "sin" in religious terms.
Humans are parasitic in nature. We destroy and curate the land. We kill and eat the animals. We hunt them for sport. We lock them in cages and small water tanks for our amusement. We perform horrible fatal experiments on them. We commit unspeakable atrocities against each other. We take and take and take and rarely do we give anything back to the planet or environment. Our purpose in life is to serve ourselves. Humans are despicable in nature.
The same can't be said for animals. They run off instincts and are just surviving. Even when they hunt or attack other animals or people. They were just doing what their survival instincts told them to do.

I feel like women don't really need sex but for guys its a really important part of a relationship be it in a marriage or dating.
To be honest sex is the main way to see if your into that person everyone has a level of sex drive ranging from a month, a week, a day or somewhere in between most people don't really talk about what there level is. Depending on there partner that could be a big issue you can also learn alot from a person from how they have sex are they adventurous, do they lay like a fish when you do all the work, are they unskilled, are they passionate. I wouldn't base the whole thing about someone on the first night but after a couple times you get a rough idea how they are and can base whether or not there worth your time to pursue the relationship.

The thing is it is never black and white with the intimacy comments because in a way it matters to a certain extent, but the most important thing is the character of a woman. If this is a potential life partner the values need to align and how well/easy it is to communicate with her. The sexual chemistry can be worked on and something that can get better and better over time. But if she doesn’t have values, isn’t a kind person and the time you spend with each other is dreadful then it’ll never work.

Yea imma have to disagree about men needing to have sex before they know the relationship will last. I think there are women and men that think that way and culture makes it seem everyone and their mother does also. I think physical attraction is a good thing of course but is the person going to support your goals are they going be with you for the long term are they selfless are they gentle are they nurturing. Do they smell good do they believe in Christ. I think the meat and potatoes of a person some are mountains and hills more important than the sex of course it plays a factor don’t get me wrong but it’s not the determining one to a successful and life long relationship.

My take on the discussion at 56 min: I’m a very social 24 year old guy from the Netherlands, love to go out and meet new people, and I’m not too shy to chat with girls. But I have always been committed to my genuine belief in bible and so I’m waiting with sex until marriage eventhough that’s very strange in my social circles. I do notice however that it makes it difficult for me to approache girls whom I find attractive because I assume them to think I’d approache them with different intentions, I still need to learn a lot in this. But I’m super confortable with my stance in this, it doesn’t require any discipline or self manipulation, because of my convictions. So yea, there are definetely many more guys like me out there, my 2 brothers for instance whom also waited till marriage in their late 20s. What Sara said is spot on, it’s gonna be hard to find in certain circles like in LA but I feel like many cities with out-going culture. Ps, I love this podcast

I wish I could be friends with Sara. Girl and I have a lot in common with stuff we are going through as ladies in our early 20s who aren’t trying to sleep around and just want a normal and decent relationship.
I however couldn’t imagine doing dating life in LA. I am in the Midwest so instead of everyone hooking up, everyone my age is basically already married or even has kids.
But when I go to visit family/friends I grew up with out east, if I’m not making 6 figures, dating a bunch of guys, and looking like a model, I am not good enough there either.
So at the end of the day, you’ll never please anyone. Just live with what is in front of you now and God will give you what you need at the appointed time.
I hope and pray both Sara and I can find our “fairytale men”😂
But girl to girl - I do think it’s important to get yourself mentally ready for another person too. I think Sara has good intentions and values but just from hearing her mental health in this episode, seems like she needs to learn how to take care of herself first so she can be the person the guy she wants would want to marry.
Love the pod, interested to see how things turn out in 2024 and streaming ;)
