I personally like when figure reviewers review KOs. I have a few KOs in my collection and they're good figures for the price, and even a couple of them are almost identical in terms of quality to the real thing (minus a couple of minor paint apps).
Usually best to just sit there and not be messed with. Haha
If I have to guess, the reason some of them are almost identical to the original because they came from the same factory as the original, rejects basically but I'm not sure how true that is, now though.

@@kravmaga654 I have the KO of the figma bloodborne hunter and it's almost exact to the real thing, it's just missing a few minor paint apps. I think my figma berserk guts is a KO too, but the only reason I think it is is the price, other than that it's exactly like the real thing. I also have the KO of the 1000toys comic hellboy, this one does have a few downgrades like only having single joint knees and elbow, no ab crunch, the coat isn't stitched as well, but for $20 it's a pretty good hellboy figure.

I personally collect inexpensive figures just to make a point that collecting figures isn't an expensive hobby. I love finding hidden gems of figures that only a few people know about and so far, im really happy with my collection. So I actually have this deadpool, and it gets the job done, it's movie accurate, it's got tons of accessories (which you can also use on other 1/12 figures) and it's cheap. I personally bought 3 of them and custom painted it, one from deadpool 1 which is much more saturated red, the other figure painted whitish grey to look like x--force, and the other one painted wolverine yellow. Appreciate the review, very thorough and informative, love it.
Love a good budget collection
Good luck finding an editor. I went down that rabbit hole before. Every channel has different needs, but getting someone who is good and reliable and affordable is challenging. You may spend a lot of time onboarding them to the channel style just to have them move on just as they are showing promise. Not to be negative as I think it’s possible, but the trade offs are real as I think you are competing to basically find a unicorn. Good luck!

Great video! Honestly, I feel like buying bootlegs are mainly fun for the accessories. They honestly give more options to pose the official figure, at least that's how I see them!

Actually it’s also great for modding, kit bashing, and fixing figures with broken joints.
Loose DP parts would be great for a Wolverine dio display.

When you mentioned they give more options to pose the official figure, I'm trying to figure out what you mean by that? I'd say you can put the bootleg to the limits (since you're not risking a lot as opposed to the more expensive official one); but it's not the same figure, so things may vary between the two in that regard.
For sure with the accessories. I've bought some bootleg Figurarts stuff in the past just for the effect pieces. They're virtually indistinguishable. A good example is the (bootleg) Amazing Yamaguchi Wolverine that comes with those cool slash effects. That's what I used to use for my Mafex Wolverine in the Marvel vs Capcom display...until I just had to get the One:12 tiger stripe Wolvie that came with even cooler ones.

Great point. Makes me think of buying old cheap Joe figures just to get the o-rings to repair figures in your collection...like before realizing you can just buy the o-rings on their own. And sometimes the bootlegs are really damn good, like the original NECA Mirage Turtles...at least the early versions before it became a copy of a copy of a copy.

Honestly, i just buy any figure that i can afford. As long as they look good, I'll get em. I don't got the money to spend on an 100 dollar figure. Something like Marvel Legends.

I have this Deadpool 2 knock off. Perhaps I got lucky my holsters were correct, right, and left. Can also pop off the eyes from the inside. It also came with a dynamic pose stand.

Its all about what you like. When I had my stuff on display before moving, I had everything from ridiculously expensive imports to a Happy Meal toy. Its all about what you like but do always try to get the best deal possible.

Reason for the Deadpool figures not having guns is do so Marvel and Fox wanting to turn from gun because of the sheer amount of shooter there have been, but they said it was ok for Deadpool 3

Do the holsters fit on the original SHF Deadpool? Was thinking of buying this to give the accessories to it since that's less expensive than buying the official DP2 SHF.
August 1 you can order the new one for the movie. I would just get that. Save some money and have more stuff with a much better looking sculpt.

For me it all depends, if i really like the character or if it´s just a filler, also some of the bigger figures that doesn´t need posing i can do with a bootleg, like a mexican PITT that i bought, he looks awesome in the collection.

Can you somehow put the head and hands in the marvel legends deadpool? I know it might take some modification. I am just curious if it will scale well.
These are both smaller than Legends
These are not for me, my figures in my collection is, based off comics and cartoons I grew up with. I'm not into live action movie or tv show versions. Idk why a lot of the figures based off real ppl look fake, while the ones from the comics and cartoons look realistic.

That last part made no sense to me, but will agree I'm not into Marvel/DC movie figures either....unless it's Burton Batman. It's totally about the comic (and cartoon) looks, like you mentioned due to nostalgia/that's their original medium/when I was growing up a comic movie or show was actually something special.
Totally cool for collectors into the MCU stuff - it's just a bummer with those figures getting more love than their comic counterparts. I get it in regards to why the new tooling is more necessary, but still hits you in the gut with all the shortcuts on the normal figures.

FunFact there are 2 versions of this KO, one that is in the video and the other one that has double joints (in the hands) like the original

still so happy i got the second films version, i was originally aiming for the first, but after rewatching the dp movies i realized the second figure didn't darken the suit the first just made it way too bright

I haven’t done unboxing or review videos yet lol but I have done a wide variety of video projects and edits. Got the rig all setup for it and my go to audio and sound effects from audiio.
When I started taking collecting seriously 4 years ago my dad and I got these bootleg stylized maul and boba fett...
the foot on my stylized maul broke so I've been buying authentic releases ever since 😢

what i dont understand is why they make them shorter than the original, do they really think if they made the original size they would be in trouble ? its not like they arent already doing something ilegal. cant be copying mechanics cos we avg joe can made copies 1:1.
also the better KO, are problably factory QC dejects that got stolen, hence why you see so many slopy paint apps,uncliped or bad plastic surface.

I was going to buy a Baki storm collectibles knock off. But I read additional info & it stated: made of toxic material’s. Just don’t eat it & wash your hands after . I am an Ali fan. Ironically Baki rereleased on BBToys today. I’m glad I waited but $89 … ouch! Vs. $18 on Ali… & there’s not much difference. Not like you’re eating it 😂

I only have 4 Bootleg in my collection, and would only buy bootlegs for 3 reason
1st if the original looks fragile and way overprice (SHF Miles and SHF Spider-Man 2099)
2nd I just bougth them for the accesories or extra body parts (SHF Anya / SHF Goku Black)
3rd if I'm trying to kitbash or make customize figure (Planning to make a Bojack Return Trunks, and Omni-Man Figure)
but as much as possible I only buy original figure, since bootlegs have terrible plastic quality.
I still need the kid Goku for the Nimbus, so I totally get it
