@@memeboi1234 vocal arrangements are one example: complete and utter shit. It's just continuous screaming in tempo and that's it. Do you hear anything memorable here? I surely don't. Their first 4 albums all have hymns. That you can sing in your head, remember it forever. Since then it's been rather poor in comparison.
@@memeboi1234 Their first several albums, even though I didn't care for most of All Hope Is Gone, the songs still all had a seamless flow. This track has some terrible flow. It's like a hodgepodge of 3 or more songs all sloppily tied together. And that chorus just does NOT fit the song in any way. It just jumps out at you out of nowhere. It sounds like a chorus that belongs in an entirely different song. It's just offputting.
You nailed the sound, this time. A perfect mix of a modern production and the old raw sounds of the beginning. Whoever produced this should remix the previous album.
It sounds like the old Slipknot to me, but with touches of the new, both clearer and cleaner in its execution and with greater maturity on the part of the musicians, I hope that their new album will be a mixture of everything they have done and what that make it be Slipknot, Slipknot!
yo....corey's vocals...jay's drumming ....sid with those scratches ...mick , craig , shawn , jim ....just everyone killing it with top notch production.🔥🐐s love from 🇮🇳
Corey's vocals sounded better on the last album except for the "we don't deny" part with the blast beats. That part was pretty great. The rest was just... eh. Especially the chorus that doesn't fit the vibe of the rest of the song at all.
Wow, the fact that Corey Taylor can still reach back and do those gutteral screams is quite a treat. He sounds fantastic, like he hasn't aged a day even and the rest of the band does too. This keeps up, Slipknot will be around for another 20 years.
This would probably fit real nicely on Iowa tbh. People are afraid to admit they CAN still sound like they used to. But they don't need to. Every album has always been a new stage in the evolution of their sound. No album really sounds the same and that's why I love slipknot. They've literally been growing and changing as have I over the years and it's amazing going back to listening to each album and remembering where I was at that point in life. F*** the haters and casual fans, Slipknot is the only band that is still making heavy bangers and are the only consistent band that keeps showing the world why they’re the Kings in their lane of music! Trailblazers, Trendsetters, BMFs
To me it depends. Criticism is good and peoe who truly love a band provide it, but if it's just blasting them without reason them yeah I agree. But I'll say the mixing in this song is low quality. I don't hate the band but it's something they could of done better and have done better on older records.
Then, go over to Bloodywood and listen to their song/s and you realise you hate the people that are in power. Their music is awesome but their lyrics are truth in this world.
0:11 I was at that venue where they drop the banner, I had on my designer vest along with this clown mask that others walking the other direction. Also, at the same time head banging and jumping up and down till I almost collapse. Much love to my favorite band that help cope in my darkest moments and prevented myself from hinting at suicide.
Despite not singing in a band since highschool over 10yrs ago, Corey Taylor is by far the only vocalist I’ve looked up to to keep my dream alive to one day start up a new band and get out of my garage I’ve filled with intense screams from Slipknot to Dillinger escape plan, even Adele. These walls have heard it all. Thank you.
@@snowww816 LMFAO!!!! That's funny. Ever heard of Will Ramos? He makes Corey even at his best sound like a puppy. And I LOVE Iowa and ST era Corey's vocals. But there are many much superior vocalists. There are much better singers and there are screamers that are leagues above him. I still rock with Slipknot, but their fans say some cringe shit at times.
Eyeless actually had flow. This song is like a hodgepodge of different songs sloppily thrown together. I'm revisiting again because I really WANT to like it because I enjoyed a lot of their last album, but this is just... eh.
I wouldn't say Corey always sounds amazing. his voice was pretty lacking in the live area of .5 and the start of wanyk but this is honestly the best Corey has sounded since Iowa. even on the song he featured on with ho99o9, his screams are arguably better now than the ever have been

whats your opinion of the album now that its been out for nearly a year?
@@CarnageRemixes at first I didn't like it. I thought it was the softest album that they have ever released.
But after a few more listening, I can't help but feel this is a masterpiece of an album. Banger after banger.
@@thearyaputra it really is an absolute banger album. every slipknot release is S tier, except for the dissapoinment if tbe adderal EP which goes in F tier.. All releases from MFKR to TESF (im even including the 95-98 demos here) belong in S tier.
@@thearyaputra i cant dip into it. For me there are only 3 good songs on this album, which i like to listen even on repeat. H377, Hive Mind and this Banger. All are fast and aggressive. The other songs for me, ruins the pace of the album

Not many bands can be around for over 20 years and still release an album that has several absolute bangers
The sound is definitely a return to original form. Heavy. Chaotic. Brutal.
Keep it coming. This is the shit.
nope :/
@@markozivanovic117 how not? I would like to hear
@@markozivanovic117 that doesn't make sense to me, this song definitely gets stuck in my head and I've only listened to it a few times.
Slipknot never gets old, like a pure wine... truly masterpiece!

It sounds like the old Slipknot to me, but with touches of the new, both clearer and cleaner in its execution and with greater maturity on the part of the musicians, I hope that their new album will be a mixture of everything they have done and what that make it be Slipknot, Slipknot!

Wow, the fact that Corey Taylor can still reach back and do those gutteral screams is quite a treat. He sounds fantastic, like he hasn't aged a day even and the rest of the band does too. This keeps up, Slipknot will be around for another 20 years.
Corey's new mask this year fucking excellent!! Knotfest 2021 was amazing keep up slamming those song slipknot 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Can't wait for this new album!
Who’s afraid to admit that? Seems a bit of a silly fear

This song right here shows the insane amount of growth slipknot has gone through. Their songs only get better and better as the years go by.
