Good Morning, Everyone! Thank you for dropping in! I have had a super busy week repairing saws and making videos! I hope you enjoy this story about a Stihl MS201 that took a long fall - and that needs to go back out to work today! Guess what I had dropped off here yesterday -- a pile of Stihl 026 and 024 saws! I am SO excited to go through all of these saws with you guys! I promise, I won't look at them until you are here! :) On my bench today - A MS291, A MS261 and MS462! Back to work I go! Please - Subscribe and Like this video! It helps me out and I want to keep making videos for you!
Wow how did you learn to do all this on a professional level ??? I'm Rebuilding two 455 ranchers after complete tear down found 1 free and two cheap. Amazed by your knowledge and how most chainsaw owners do not maintenance their equipment. My 365 Husqvarna 24 years with 130 PSI and very old 288 Xp are next in line for a rebuild. I still want to get a Stihl or Echo some day.
Hi Erica, This was a Great Video! I LOOOOOVE your Sense of Humor. I smile as I watch your videos, then bust out laughing when you say the things that run through your mind without holding back. You are so genuine and just being yourself. That is just one part of the Channels Charm. Thank you Erica ....for just being Erica!
Nice job. I was trying to come across one of these climbing saws at a good price used because i just do light trail maintenance. It would fit into a large backpack, but the dang things are so much $, even used. I ended up with a MS170 that needed some TLC but gets the job done for me. Thanks for all you do and show us!
I enjoy watching your channel and the small engines. This was one of my favorite classes in High School. Pretty straight forward system you use to find problems. Good Job!!
Thank you so much for posting this excellent video. I did not realize a saw can survive a long drop from above with only a few parts needing replacement.
Good job Erica! Thanks for sharing. I know there is a lot more efforts in editing and uploading for us all to enjoy! Moving on to watch your second upload today! Thumbs up everyone! 👍👍👍👍
I find the data from the computer interesting. 198 hours isn’t very much, that would equate to less than 2 months work when I was working saws full time. Nice little saw though. I guess the forest industry won’t use top handle saws due to people using them as ground saws. Another fine video though Erica
Excellent job,Erica .Thank u for the heads up on the parts assortment.Gotta get me one.Luv your sense of humour.Your a blast to watch.Your my favourite channel.I watch daily.Cheers from Rideau lakes area.
Hello I like the Tophandle Version more, never saw a Backhandle in real live. Interesting that the comercial guys dont take much care about her saws. They use it every Day, dont clean it and dont take it to your Service. Perfect that you do a look at the Details, and change whats needed. Thank you for another Nice Video before the Weekend comes.Have a good Time.
Love watching your videos. I am amazed at all the different configurations in the model range. I found the positioning of the muffler on the 201C to be quite unusual. That scorching and burning looks dreadful, and potentially dangerous. Keep the videos coming. Cheers from Australia.
When you do an mtronic saw and it's good you should put a heartbeat sound in the video. On the other hand when it's dead you should put a flatline sound in it. That would be hilarious
Ahh... You got your crystal ball. No more issues or mysteries on future repairs. You'd been talking about it. lol. Keep going Erica, 25 000 will be just the beginning. This is what my crystal ball tells me!😉
Wow up to 19k subs. I think I subbed when you had 1.5k. 20k subs Right around the corner keep it up Erica your content has always has been good , but is getting better and better.
Another good one ERICA your right on the government stuff I work for the county RD you've said this before the saws take a beating its insane can't wait on the old Big Boy you have to do plus I like the plugged in stuff just to see hours and pull times
Nice work! Here I am nitpicking again. Rounding 198 hours to 200, multiplying by 60 (= 12000 minutes), rounding 2888 starts to 3000 (then 12000/3000), gives only 4 minutes runtime per start. This is the third video where I noticed that the stats seem odd.
Nice Work Erica Some Great Saws 😀 I Like My Top Handle 201T and 201TC-M 😀 Love The Channel 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 You Would Make a Great STIHL Instructor I’ve Always Wanted Too Go To The Germany Headquarters 😀
Your letting your dark humor slip through little and I really enjoyed the video especially seeing how it survived the fall. I want to come play with the cats
I always wonder why the new air filters are colored the same color as sawdust. They always look dirty to me in the videos. I love the crystal ball gift. I get the snapping of the glove. LOL John from MI
Hi I have an older S 200 Toro Snowblower I was wondering if you've ever worked on one ! Cause I'm thinking of changing out the flat rubber blades for the more modern curved rubber blades ! Have you ever worked on a snowblower ?
Hahahah, it's actually...not a crystal ball...it's for photography. It's a super wide angle reversing imaging and takes really cool abstract shots. However, it can sometimes be used as a paper weight!
I have a ? about that winter/summer setting device. Here in SW Missouri, the coldest I would run is 32 F (0 C). Is that 'winter' (for a saw) or just a nice warm day in Canada? Thanks for your super explanations and show/tell videos!
When the spark arrestor is in, the hole is filled by the arrestor. When the arrestor is missing, there is a gaping hole there that the exhaust escapes through.
When you say "plug is gapped properly" do you always check it with measuring blade or do you just say it and trust the supply chain from factory to your workbench 🥳

Yes indeed! From TX
Gday Erica from Australia, you content is really great and interesting.
Good content. I’m in Flint Michigan
I had no idea that some high end chainsaws had a computer for diagnostic purposes. Thanks for sharing this.
It’s always so satisfying to see someone apply attention to small details, and then put things right so a good tool works as designed. 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Omg your buffer joke almost made me spit my coffee out 😂😂
When I look at the name of that part, it's the first thing I see lol
@marriedwithsmallengines yea I saw it too lol

Hello Take a look at the Echo cs 2511 saw. The lightest Tophandle on the Market, and Hungry like a beast.

I am going to binge watch your channel!!! You do great work!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
I wanted you to keep cleaning it...
The layout of that saw is more like the Macs that i am used to.
Thanks for bringing us along.
Great video as always, just wanted to say thank you.
Your local utility must be great full that you service their saws.

Some of those tiny arborist saws like the one you have are seriously powerful for such a tiny engine.
Excellent job,Erica .Thank u for the heads up on the parts assortment.Gotta get me one.Luv your sense of humour.Your a blast to watch.Your my favourite channel.I watch daily.Cheers from Rideau lakes area.
Thanks so much!

I think that is the first time I have seen you do a drop down start.

awesome video! oh my poor OCD ! I could not handle working on that dirty saw ! lol
Coffee? Sounds good great vid!! I’ve dropped tools from high up locations some survived some didn’t. That’s a tough saw👍
Hi Erica. It's so interesting to see these videos. Some Stihl's have adjustable oiling. Can you please show how to? Looking forward to the next.
Thanks a lot of this video, Erica! Greetings from Finland!
Erica and the Humpty Dumpty saw! Going back out with the King’s Horses and King’s Men for a fishing trip.
Very good 👍 your the best I would like to see the huskavarna fixed that you had on here 3video back you can use temu to get all the parts
When you do an mtronic saw and it's good you should put a heartbeat sound in the video. On the other hand when it's dead you should put a flatline sound in it. That would be hilarious
Lol, wait until you see the next MS201 video....
Awesome video, great work. Thank you Erica
Thanks for watching!
Very good thank you ma'am!
Ahh... You got your crystal ball. No more issues or mysteries on future repairs. You'd been talking about it. lol. Keep going Erica, 25 000 will be just the beginning. This is what my crystal ball tells me!😉
Nice repair, Erica, , Humpty Dumpty saw drop
Thanks for sharing another awesome video !

Entertaining and informative.😊
Love your videos and your sarcasm 😁
When i replace fuel I use a paint strainer funnel that has fine mesh to grab the junk. The funnel can be reused multiple times.
Another good one ERICA your right on the government stuff I work for the county RD you've said this before the saws take a beating its insane can't wait on the old Big Boy you have to do plus I like the plugged in stuff just to see hours and pull times
Very good instruction videos

He is always lurking not too far away! :) I will tell him we should do a repair together! Lol
Enjoyed the content,a nice little saw.loved the lol comment.cheers Erica

Nice work! Here I am nitpicking again.

Erica, have thought about Stand up comedy?
Not really, I'm too shy.
@marriedwithsmallengines you throw those zingers in with good timing. I laugh because there funny.
Do you repair Stihl trimmers etc as well not just chainsaw. If you do can you do a video on a trimmer or a whipp as they call in the us
Well hello!!
Just saw notification...
Good morning!! Glad you are here!!
@@marriedwithsmallengines Any time!! Love your channel!!
NIce work, do you sell and service other brand of saws? Thanks for the video.
I service Stihl, Husqvarna and Echo. I sell Stihl and Echo.

I love your name isn't everyday you hear a name Erica
I have a ? about that winter/summer setting device.
Here in SW Missouri, the coldest I would run is 32 F (0 C).
Is that 'winter' (for a saw) or just a nice warm day in Canada?
Thanks for your super explanations and show/tell videos!
Dang I read the manual, and of all things it explained that below 50F (10C) is winter! holy cow reading a manual!
Another nice video . I’am just wondering why I never seen a chainsaw on battery on your workbench ?
How does the spark arrestor stop the exhaust from directional flow into the clutch/chain and chip area?
When the spark arrestor is in, the hole is filled by the arrestor. When the arrestor is missing, there is a gaping hole there that the exhaust escapes through.
@ I see that the arrestor plate had a raised lip that seems to give lift to the exhaust and helps redirect it to more of a 90° from the body.
21:05 So the anal buffer is just for the rear handle? Makes sense.
Can you convert a rear handle saw to a top handle saw relatively easily? Or is it not economical to do this?
It's doable, but you wouldn't want to be buying new parts to do it. You would need a blown up donor saw for parts and your own time to do it.
Is the reason that the diagnostics are plugged into the ignition so that it’s to be ran for additional info?
Yes, the saw can be ran while plugged in for more diagnostics.
I've seen top handle chainsaws but they just didn't feel good holding it
"Has some limbing to do next weekend" Is the owner Paul Bunyan himself?
Haha, Maybe!
You left the chain little loose. A bit hanging...
1:14 what is your name if I have been here before?
Hehe 😜
When you say "plug is gapped properly" do you always check it with measuring blade or do you just say it and trust the supply chain from factory to your workbench 🥳
She always checks it.
Big limbs! OMG LOL
Curious how much you charged for this repair???
One of the ugliest saws I've ever seen, but crystal ball gift was HILARIOUS!!
HAHAHAHA
Anal Buffer. You made me laugh!
