OK, I've subscribed... and even liked. That was very raw and informative. I just got back to the US after 2 months in PI. When I got back I had every intention of moving there, but the longer it takes to get my affairs in order the more I am questioning the decision. This vid has added fuel to the con list. Much to consider. I appreciate your work.
Think hard! If you go, don't burn your bridges. I've seen the majority of Americans return to the US after a few year. Many of them disillusioned and broke.
Just came back from visiting my GF in Mindanao. I drove up and down the whole right hand side of your map- CDO to Davao City. There were so many beautiful waterfalls and amazing sites you missed. Never see any tourist sites in BWC videos. Would never visit a girl's family until i have seen her a few times. Seeing the family as a first date seems crazy.
I realize that boy thought he was very funny but he was so annoying. I admire you for not giving up and leaving. Good video. Most of the people were sweet.
Interesting video to see different attitudes towards overseas visitors from different locals thank you. Your video had a raw quality l liked showing the obvious awkwardness of the situation you found yourself in.
Other vloggers talked about their experiences visiting their LDR in the provinces you are the first one to film it. I think many LDR girls don’t actually want to meet their foreign boyfriends. In this case I think this is what happened. It was very interesting but interesting like watching a car crashing.
I shared the same experience with an older woman (36) in Mindanao. I visited her community. It was one of the most awkward experiences I ever had. I tried hard to blend in but it’s impossible. The kids poked me and giggled endlessly while the adults and my gf mostly ignored me. After a few days I packed up and said goodbye. The cultural divide was too great. All I can say is I tried and chalked it up as a life experience. I tried the same thing in Thailand. Amazing experience but completely different cuz I wasn’t so much ignored as unable to communicate with anyone because nobody spoke English including my gf. Learning the local language is a great idea but that can take years. Keep up the great work !!!
Thanks for your appreciation! For me also - cultural differences are too great to be permanently involved in an Asian relationship. The silent communication kills me.
@@BiggWorldCinema Often, the ONLY time we are in the loop is when money is needed for this or that. We are not really included at all it seems and marriage is no guaratee that this would change.
@@BiggWorldCinema it seemed like that here right enough. But not always the case. Better luck next time. Difficult somtimes for sure, but carry on regardless, as they say.
It always amazes me how the people of the phil have very little, yet are always smiling and laughing, never seem to be complaining either. They also seem to be very amicable and loving toward each other. I think the western world can learn something from them. Very good portrait of the philippines, well done.!
lol. we might be looking at this the wrong way. It might be the effort we have to expend to get the basic, which they might not have to worry about on their end.,
So when I was 20 I had a similar experience, meet a girl in bangkok, meet the family, when I was around her place I felt like a fish out of water,38 years later we are still married,I just took the risk with the 1st nice Thai girl I meet
You should get used to that stuff if you want young p----y. Only people who live in very difficult circumstances will entertain being with a retiree if they are that young and pretty. It is hella weird for an old white guy to even go there and most know why they go there - either for a young girl....or much worse.
The girl was sizing you up and seeing what she could get out of you. The rest of the community was hoping that you would become part of the family. If you are ever in Cebu City, lets have a beer together. I have a lot of experiences to share! 🍻
When we were leaving her house to go to the Volleyball court, Gwendolyn told me not to leave my wallet there, which kinda shocked me. Recently left Cebu city after 32 months. Probably be back there end of Feb before my time is up.
I love being able to read people especially this girl who was taking you on a ride and did not seem to romanticlly interested at all going by her body languge, She put on the fake smile and seemed to be interested in money and puting on an fake personality. Going in a house like hers I would of felt extremely uncomfortable
You were there to provide some amusement - look what I found in the city! And to provide some loose change. But she'd changed her mind by the time you finally showed up. You could see it on her face: she was angry at herself and blaming you for getting there. It could have become dangerous with that camera.
You’re probably the first Foreigner they ever really interacted with the people and the children probably heard stories about foreigners visiting and having big parties a great time together with them we do that every time we go it’s a blast and unforgettable time for them
These Filipinos were making fun of you and showed no respect to you as their guest. I’d think twice to be in a relationship with that girl if I were in your shoes.
@@BiggWorldCinema She wasn't making fun of you. People there act in a certain way because of the place. I think she's not in love with you, though. I think she's testing you if you want to splash some cash. I think she's a hustler, though. I was getting hustler vibes the first few minutes I saw her. Another piece of advice I can tell you is stay away from people like the one who sang songs to you. Stay away from shameless people like him. You will run into problems later with him. And please stay away from nutters like the one you spoke to when you said the game was boring. Nothing good will result in you interacting with him. You will probably enjoy him for a while but after that wears off, you'd probably wish that you never laid your eyes on him. Avoid him like the plague.
@@BiggWorldCinema she was obviously embarrassed about how the video showed the bare bones of her community. Although there was a little of the Louis Thereoux about it.
Filipinos nervously laugh in all sorts of situations. You just have to remain respectful at all times and know then you did nothing wrong or they aren't mocking you. They also sometimes have preconceived notions about Westerners. Before me and my wife were married, on of here uncles I met thought all American guys liked to get drunk all the time and fight. He kept trying to make me drink too much which I didn't. He later told the rest of the family that I wasn't what he expected and came to respect me.
My wife is from Iligan City and my relations are there too. We are almost married 30 years now. They have a computer/wedding planning business there called Wire and Lace which is very successful. That being said, Iligan City and the coastal strip near it is pretty safe. The only time she gave me a warning was when we stayed at Tinago Falls years ago which is off to the Southwest of Iligan City and out in the boondocks. We had to take a taxi in and out to get there. She told me to sit in the passenger seat in the front next to the driver when going back. She said if we stopped anywhere in the middle of the Jungle, kick the driver out, take over driving the taxi to our destination and then we would leave the taxi ASAP. She explained this was a precaution against kidnapping. Thank God it didn't happen though. My advice is don't go too far into the boondocks alone out in the wild SW of Mindanao. Also, if you meet a girl near Iligan City, take her to Timoga Spring Pools just a little I'm glad you had a safe adventure, Philip. Oh, I just subscribed.
That was surreal. Just a very strange experience, I would imagine. You handled it well. But would it have been different if there were no camera? Only the people that go to places like that without a camera will ever know. The young girls there were very friendly and sweet. The loud guys really made me uncomfortable, and I wasn't even there.
Its also not safe the moment you leave Davao city. There is a good reason the entire city is surrounded by armed guards .I use to tell people Samal island also is no safe because there is no Army there but everyone laughed at me until about 6 years ago 2 Canadians got taken there for ransom then got beheaded .
Somebody commented asking why I hadn't taken the bus from Surigao to Dapitan to catch a ferry to Negros. I thought it safer to go via Bohol and avoid western Mindanao.
@@BiggWorldCinemaI traveled some around Mindanao and really only felt threatened once. After the ferry from Dumaguete landed in Dapitan a few guys confiscated my luggage at the ship, I had to fallow them to the street, where they loaded my luggage on a trike and informed me I will pay this trike driver P1,500 to take me to the bus terminal. I just said Ok, they looked like thugs and I didn’t need any trouble. After that I traveled all over Lanao Del Norte and felt perfectly safe. Very nice people in Mindanao.
Don’t think the community liked the filming. Was it an intrusion into their lives I wonder? Wonderful for the rest of us watching, thanks for risking it.
I have held onto a dream of ending up in PI with a wonderful mate. Over the years nothing has persuaded me against that plan. Your candid exposure of province life has done more to sober my thoughts than anything I have heard, read or seen. As a country boy I love rural life but I could not tolerate being surrounded by the level of idiocy you experienced. Studies show the average IQ for the Philippines is 87. I never really believed it until now. My Border collie is a genius compared to some of those people you encountered. I have to think about this and experience it myself I suppose but maybe my disappointment won't be as bitter having seen this video.
I met a Filipina in Davao and she invited me to visit her family in Carmen - but they expressed concern over my safety because of various recent murders so I didn't go
I've stayed a few weeks further out past Iligan with my in-laws on one visit along with my wife. This was also right before Marawi siege began and it was just 30 minutes down the road. I never felt unsafe or worried the entire time I was there. Yes you'll get some looks from the locals because it's not everyday a white foreigner is walking down their streets or eating in the same cafes. But as long as you are pleasant, you'll usually be met the same way.
You are much more of a people person than I sir.... I've met my filipina 4 years ago and a couple of meetings with her family sufficed to have them hating me. I saw the way u hung out with the bro and the sis to be accepted by the clan.... well, even though it didn't end up a love story u had great interactions in that clip, great channel!
It looked like the girl you went to meet. More or less abandoned you to fend for yourself around people you didn't know, or came to see. Only being around to have you give or spend money. Except when she showed up again at the end to walk you out to the main road.
There's nothing to be afraid when you show people that you're respectful very friendly and open minded that you're Not different from them, being very simple humble and kind are always the best quality's a person can have. Philippines is a very beautiful and poor country with a very beautiful culture and amazing people. ❤
Just subscribed to your channel. I've been to the Philippines many times and sort of understand their culture. However, it still makes me very uneasy at how some of them have no qualms whatsoever of taking advantage of the rich foreigner. And to make matters worse she confused with the other foreigner she was texting with from Florida. 😒
why do you blame them for trying to survive? why dont you blame the old foreigners for going there to exploit poverty to get young p----y? you got things twisted
We can easily think that they are trying to fleece us. Look at how they live - to live collectively, you share. It could be that they simply see us as having the means to share with them as they would with us.
A very nice gentleman you were with her in a somewhat awkward situation her family was lovely friendly and happy full of smiles she was a pretty girl sorry it didn't work out for you brother plenty more beautiful women in the Philippines.
OMG, please don't do that again. I'm from Mindanao and I don't really encourage foreigners to visit here by surprise. You should contact the local government to let them be aware that there is a foreigner coming into their locality so that they can protect you. That community cannot protect you against bad elements. Please stay in areas that are safe. That is a remote area and anything could happen.
Yup stay to the right side of that island and you’re most likely fine. I did a trip to siargo and it was great. There are groups you don’t want to meet up with
you visited the real life of Phil. family and relatives in remote area. That's give real video clip how the people live there compare in city or western world. Well done to done this video clip. There are not many foreigners visited Mindanao island.
I've subscribed Thank you Philip for showing the world how people live in the provinces. You got the large gonads to venture out into these places. You crazy man! Lol I'm on my second or third video. You really do I have a talent showing the real Philippines. I am thinking of coming to the Philippines to visit. I live on a catamaran. Maybe I will rent a catamaran to sail around the Philippines. I live in Connecticut USA can you take me a year to get there by boat!
Wasted a lot of time talking to her for months and now meeting her for nothing!! That's just sad mate. Seeing how you are taken for a ride makes me feel I should just go to Pattaya, pay for it and have a fun time
I didn't really invest much energy or emotion in the "relationship." The time we spent talking to each other amounted to maybe 10 minutes a week. I didn't go visit with any great expectations. Just for the experience. There's plenty of filipinas here worth chatting to. Just don't invest too much b4 you meet, so you're not in too deep if it goes Pete Tong.
@PanayFun Yeah. Fuck pre pipelining. All you are doing is tying yourself in knots before arrival.. Roaming 100% free of obligation the way. *Crap Game*
Most of the extremists have been shot dead in brutal firefights. Just don’t go to Sulu or the coasts of Zamboanga, and if surrounded be prepared to fight with every single ounce of violence you have in you and they won’t take you. It’s crazy because the best Filipinas are In Mindanao. The trick is to be in shape like they are and off your absolute mind with madness and full on schizophrenia… I love the place people languages and madness in Mindanao more than any other part of the Philippines. In Zamboanga you get women so beautiful that are like Latinas and speak full blown Spanish! Being a Muslim like myself also helps as does speaking Arabic. Be sure to arrive in A class physical shape with a pack of abs too. It’s not for the faint hearted though.
In Philippines before Christmas, there is a tradition called "karolling". The karollers go to houses and sing Christmas songs and after money is given to them. So you my friend had just been Christmas karolled. Soryy you didnt get to jingle your bells much. 🙂
wow..that happens also in my country Greece...but only kids were Karollers .. now that is tending to stop.. all the beautiful things of old times are vanishing
That was awkward! I was cringing watching it. I feel sorry for her. Any Filipina will place her family above you. If you don't like those qualities then look elsewhere. Show respect to get respect.
I see people that are rough because that's their environment, they just don't know how to behave and come across loud and obnoxious. She did seem rude. You did documented in this video something that many foreigners go thru but that was not available for everyone to see. Rules and boundaries have to be set for this type of meetings. I remember a video by a Filipina as she traveled with about 9 people in a small van to the airport to pick her Canadian boyfriend that as she put it was "coming to support all of us" ...
I'd say that the risk of going into this area is lower than it was 3 years ago. However it is still a risk that probably would be better to not repeat.
True. The guys put me on edge. Seems like a volatile atmosphere. At the Basketball "court" I thought I wouldn't wanna be here when it kicks off! Thanks for your appreciation Jason!
Zamboanga is fairly safe, and highly enjoyable, as long as you (as a foreigner) remain inside the city proper. Personally it’s my favorite area in the PI.
I'm currently in Manila. Have met/chatted with around 5 beautiful filipinas from Zamboanga living here. Looks like I don't need to journey there after all!
That was a fascinating video. Overall a totally dreadful experience I think. Socially awkward and uncomfortable. I bet you were relieved to leave. Almost anthropological. From my experience this is what happens when you chase young Philippianas. If you pitch for 30s to 40s age bracket, you get more empathy and understanding generally. I take it that you never saw her again.
Visiting the province and seeing how people live in the community was an interesting experience. My discomfort showed, which I wanted to portray. You're right about the older women who I've dated in other Asian countries, but not filipinas who don't age as well physically. No, never saw her again.
She seemed to bring you to her village to elevate her social standing in the community. Ask you to give money to random village people, so she can be the celebrity Mayor.. Glad you picked up on it and can navigate these opportunistic women...
I wouldn't be happy at all if I had gone all that way to meet a girl and she quickly answered that we're just friends. Especiaally if you'd been communication for 5 months. You should be like yeah we're just friends but I'm really bored, that's why I travelled all this way to play volleyball and buy cokes for the village kids.
@@BiggWorldCinema Why did you spend 5 months talking to her and then travel all the way to see her if you knew she had a BF?? Personally I wouldn't be happy about that at all!
@@amazonseller-yf8vv Intrigue. I like to know how people's minds work.I knew the situation and went along with it. I knew nothing would develop. Convos were random over 5 months. As I said - I wasn't fussed, just amused with the situation.
@@BiggWorldCinema Well I'm glad you enjoyed the process. I'm just trying to understand what it's like dating in the Philipines because so many people say that all the girls will be chasing you if you're a forigner there but vids like this make me think that's just not the case. Anyway I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work!!!
Very awkward. She just seemed to want you to foot the bills for her friends. I remember when one of my buddies went on a date for supper in Thailand and the girl showed up with her whole family. He decided to be a dick and ended the date right away as soon as he saw the whole family. I would too. No way I'm paying for supper for everyone, when it is just supposed to be the 2 of us.
That's Asian dating unfortunately. A lot of Filipinas will bring a friend along on a first date to make sure you aren't a wrong'un. Suggested to one recently that we spent a night in Samal. Can I bring my family? Nooooòo.
@@BiggWorldCinema Right have had that experience many times also. Do you ever use 'date in Asia' in Cebu City? That worked wonders for me in the past...
thanks for the videos. i am much younger than you and thinking about going to the phillipines someday to find someone too. i get the feeling though its not necessarily easy like some youtube videos suggest and based on your experiences as well. i dont mind giving someone a certain amount of money every month but maybe alot of the filipinas only try to use foreigners and play the long game.
Hey Adam. TH-camrs make it sound simple. It's easy to find a filipina, but finding the "right one" takes time. I would look for a filipina who has her own income, so your relationship isn't based on a financial transaction from the offset.
@@BiggWorldCinema yeah, i think its never a good sign if someone is always asking me for money right away. knew someone 20 years ago like that but we only communicated through facebook. and as youd expect, the moment you stop sending cash, the lady will just rarely ever message you much anymore. or youll find that she will go radio silent for months. it was the only filipina i ever talked to but i was still in university all those years ago and not thinking about moving to that country back then. it did still make me think that many others could be the same way though. however, im the same as you, i just dont like when an entire relationship is only based on money. there should be other things to talk about and someone should just want to communicate with you often because they genuinely care about you. if i know someone at least 6 months or longer and they never ask for money or gifts, then its not so bad and i would probably bring up the subject myself and provide someone with a bit of money every month in the future. i just hate how they ask you for money in the first conversation that you ever have. comes off as being rude in my mind at least.
@@BiggWorldCinema There's a lot of talk online about sending money, after you return home. Why? If you want to guilt-trip yourself why not donate to a charity over there such as provides safe drinking water for a village? Rather than blowing it on some girl you'll never see again?
I hope this relationship did not progress. The girl showed no excitement upon seeing you. no proper greeting or a hug. When mum was opening the present someone saying cellphone was actually their expectation. After opening the present mum seemed a little disappointed. Telling you to pay for neighbour’s performance and buying coke all seemed you were seen as a cash cow😀😀😀
Yeah, I was expecting a hug when I eventually found her location, so that was an indication of how she felt. Your perception is accurate. The only communication after that day was her asking to remove parts of the video, such as pics I'd included of she and her filipino fiance on FB.
The Dutchman was coming from near me, he was just having bad luck as the Swiss escaped in early stage. When arriving in early nineties many deheadings took place in Mindanao often Chinese business man. And the Guarding Angels were often busy as well 'removing' bad elements from society as they called it. You did a nice job...bariolife at its best😎. They also often call me kuripot, frugal so to say...but my money my choice!!
"What's going on here?" was my thought as well. Although the little girls were just pure, fun kid vibes. Thanks for the POV of goings on even if I can't tell. I think of all the ways I'd meet a gal there, on-line would be my last but then again you don't want to be invisible either after going all that way for an adventure.
An uncomfortable watch, but great entertainment Philip. You went to hell and back - take a spade next time to dig yourself a hole to hide in. When you finally met her at the junction, she greeted you as warmly as you would the guy who’s come to read the gas meter . Total respect for sticking it out as long as you did. Like you said, it was about what wasn’t said more than what was. She only smiled when you were about to leave. I’ll be heeding the advice from the FO! I recommend you visit Uganda, you will find what you’re looking for women wise.
What an embarrassing situation you got yourself into man I would have been out of there so fast. Im in manila now,met some genuine ladies,im a good judge, hoping my next 3 weeks goes just aswell.😎👍
the real problem with these types of meetings, apart from the language barrier, is the clash of cultures. I think if you were there for more than a day you would stop being a novelty and become a part of the background. With time you would learn to fit in if you could make the cultural adjustment. To be honest I think I would enjoy it.
Yeah, I know. I get so stressed choosing presents for people I don't know and even those I do know! Yeah, one of her daughter's saying "smartphone" was hilarious, considering.
Go to the religious store and buy some Virgin Mary statues or something like that. A small Santo Nino for the altar would be good. That will go over very well. I doubt they would ever get upset over that.
You did well dealing with the situation. If it had been me I would have got small gifts for the parents and something for the gf as well, but if the gf started demanding to give someone money for singing or buy more things for others and be rude to me and not want to spend time together then I would have said let’s have a chat with her family there and I would have left. I know there is is certain rules or shall we say traditions or expectations that Filipino women go by when dating and such but you were treated extremely rude and they did there best to take advantage of you. That one dude hamming it up always in front of the camera was a idiot and that other singing to get money was not to bad but it could be seen definitely that she had no interest in you and was taking you for what she could and rude by testing you to see what and how much you put up with. The only nice ones were the 2 little girls that were friends and nice to you. Glad you didn’t put up with much of it and left. There’s lots of other nice Filipino women out there I’m sure but it’s important to research the dating cultures and what’s expected in a relationship with people from other countries. Even Thia woman have traditional ways of dating and marriage when meeting parents and such so it’s important to do the research so you know what to expect and do in the relationship
@@BiggWorldCinema She was very nice. It's too bad there wouldn't be a way to meet her away from the rest of the family. It would probably never work out.
Weird question, but are you treated any differently with your more shaggy, free-spirited hair versus the new high-and-tight? I find that people can be a little more loose and fun when I have a little extra hair going - just curious about your experience with that in SE Asia, thanks :)
Not weird at all. When I was in Cebu a year earlier the ladies at my condo management office implied they liked my "boy band" look. When I recently returned they prefer the "clean cut" image which I think is a preference for Asian women. I, like yourself prefer it longer, if it were still able to grow at the front!
Somehow I agree with you there... The security is not assured. But if you knew known personalities there, like politicians or big business tycoons, you could somehow visit those places.
Yeah, cheers, me too. I was more a fan of Terry's solo work, plus colabs with Fun Boy Three and Dave Stewart. He was standing a yard away from me in a London bar once. Wanted to engage with him, but Ian Broudie was giving me grief.
I've subscribed. You are somewhat coy yourself. You don't make it obvious what your agenda is either. You appear rather random. How is anyone supposed to react to that? I liked the video because I ask myself how I would feel in this situation. I like your content. Cheers.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for your appreciation. Filipinas say "I want serious relationship." Really? Life isn't just black and white or straight forward. She had no interest in a relationship, nor I with her. My intrigue about people and how they tick drives me forward. Or maybe what I want changes whichever way the wind blows.
you are right and thats why i liked it! he was just as standoffish as she was so you never new wtf was going on haha very different from all other vloggers!!
I have a bit of a different take on this... If I was going there to visit a girl, who I hoped would possibly turn into something permanent, I would not go empty handed. If you consider how poor these people are, and that they rarely get sweets, I would have brought a duffle-bag of candy for the kids. Money plays a part in almost all relationships. Why didn't you make her face with her family? You expect her to be all open arms, when you can't even flip for a few soft-drinks? While it is important to not waste your time with someone who has a bad nature about themselves, you should understand that the only reason a young girl like that would ever want an old guy, is for financial stability. She probably feels like shes dodged a bullet. Old cheap guys -> date your own level if you can't step it up.
Yeah, your take is wrong. I never said I was going there hoping it would turn permanent. She has a filipino fiance anyway, which I knew about. I went to try and understand what she wanted from me which was revealed. You shouldn't judge and criticise someone online without knowing the full facts BigMike. Shame on you!
Yes i am wondering what she see's in you as a frined and nothing more i presume. If i was you i would run a mile and move along to where you feel wanted. They have this way of making you feel this way when alone and away from Family once near Family complete change. Love all your work so dont give up.

When I got back I had every intention of moving there, but the longer it takes to get my affairs in order the more I am questioning the decision. This vid has added fuel to the con list. Much to consider. I appreciate your work.

Leaving? Sure, turn left past the chickens, and keep running until the spears fall short.
Interesting video to see different attitudes towards overseas visitors from different locals thank you. Your video had a raw quality l liked showing the obvious awkwardness of the situation you found yourself in.
Thanks! I'm glad you appreciated it. I'd wanted to experience province life for awhile now. Can't see myself ever living there thou.
Other vloggers talked about their experiences visiting their LDR in the provinces you are the first one to film it. I think many LDR girls don’t actually want to meet their foreign boyfriends. In this case I think this is what happened. It was very interesting but interesting like watching a car crashing.
Many LDR girls have multiple sponsors assuming they will never show up in the country.
Sorry to sound stupid , what does LDR stand for? Thanks in anticipation of answer.

You should get used to that stuff if you want young p----y. Only people who live in very difficult circumstances will entertain being with a retiree if they are that young and pretty. When we were leaving her house to go to the Volleyball court, Gwendolyn told me not to leave my wallet there, which kinda shocked me.

I doubt she will be happy with a Filipino either...I'm afraid happiness will elude her.

Great video, some proper real life village, thanks for posting!!!
That was surreal. Just a very strange experience, I would imagine. You handled it well. But would it have been different if there were no camera? Only the people that go to places like that without a camera will ever know. The young girls there were very friendly and sweet. The loud guys really made me uncomfortable, and I wasn't even there.
I'm glad you picked up the tension I felt. Yeah, her younger sister and friends were lovely to me. They made "my experience" worthwhile.
Gwendolyn asked you to give them money as a way to show off in my opinion. The whole thing was awkward and I had second hand embarrassment.
I remember that too. They also beheaded his filipina girlfriend.
I believe so, not wanting their world exposed to the outside world. I was requested to remove part of the card playing scene.
To me, it looks like a brave adventure that only the wise can do. Keep it up man.

Sounds good.
Thanks for sharing this. Shows the other side of intentions one may experience.

It looked like the girl you went to meet. More or less abandoned you to fend for yourself around people you didn't know, or came to see. Only being around to have you give or spend money. Except when she showed up again at the end to walk you out to the main road.
That about sums it up.

The reasons?
See the above video@@wowbenito . Welcome her to your world, not the other way around.
I see people that are rough because that's their environment, they just don't know how to behave and come across loud and obnoxious. She did seem rude. You did documented in this video something that many foreigners go thru but that was not available for everyone to see. Rules and boundaries have to be set for this type of meetings.

I feel terrible for the little girl you befriended. She is so sweet and endearing. Don't like her long term prospects though.
She was Gwendolyn's younger sister. She was the only one who genuinely wanted me there without wanting anything in return.
I love this vid. I watched it again 😅
If the girl was like that and the family making fun of me like that l would leave as soon as possible. She's not ❤
don't expect them to like you, she is young and beautiful and have parents and siblings, a bag of rice cost 2500 pesos and last 2 to 3 weeks
Where exactly is that place. I just built a house for my wife and daughter 20 kilometers east of iligan
She is a good one. Be aware of family obligations. Try to use your money on her and not support the family.
Somehow I agree with you there... The security is not assured. But if you knew known personalities there, like politicians or big business tycoons, you could somehow visit those places.
Sorry to hear of the passing
of Terry Hall. I was a huge
fan of the Specials
Yeah, cheers, me too. I was more a fan of Terry's solo work, plus colabs with Fun Boy Three and Dave Stewart. He was standing a yard away from me in a London bar once. Wanted to engage with him, but Ian Broudie was giving me grief.
@@BiggWorldCinema
That's a great story.
I have the first Fun Boy
Three album, Terry
with the two Jamaican
guys..
You did a good job putting up with this crazy shit. I would have left after the 1st 5 minutes!
@@BiggWorldCinema Yeah, ok. So you said in the video.
Still strange to go....and 3 cokes too much considering ur already there? Not much even if nothing in return. Strange on both sides
Yes i am wondering what she see's in you as a frined and nothing more i presume. If i was you i would run a mile and move along to where you feel wanted. They have this way of making you feel this way when alone and away from Family once near Family complete change. Love all your work so dont give up.
