  • A short clip with pics & videos of the Torq Master's Daytona Exhaust for the GL1800.
They took about an hour and a half to install.
At the end of the video I turn on the moto and roll on to about 2,500 RPMs.
They are not too loud, but have a better note than the stock.

Hey James, my idea is to get my wing as quiet as it can possibly be. Is that what you were trying to do here as well? Do you happen to know what is there on the market today that would be comparable since you created this video? Can you name it in a reply to me?

Hi Phil - I haven't had a GL1800 in seven (7) years, so I'm no longer familiar with what is in the market. That aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my Gold Wing, I hope you enjoy yours. Safe and fun travles.

I would have to hear them in real life. I like the look but love the wisper quite of my Wing.

Are they loud at highway speeds ? Is there any annoying droning sound, say at 70 mph ? I absolutely love the sound and look of them in your video. I think of all the aftermarket pipes I've seen, these are by far my favorite.

There is some droning at highway speeds - very little. I wear a 3/4 helmet and use the radio and with the road noise and wind ... it becomes part of the ride. It never bothered me. They had a nice sound to them. I enjoyed the pipes while I had the bike. After a few years, the chrome started to show it's age with pitting and rust. But it wasn't noticeable unless you were washing the bike and very close. Cheers & safe riding - James.

Why? the centre stand is designed to hold the weight so why not use it?

Good day ... I'd ask for the ownsership history and recent servicing records. If you have a motorcycle mechanic that can inspect the bike, that is best. Hopefully, it's a clean bike that is mechanically sound and you should be able to ride it for thousands of kilometres into the future. Good luck! James

Nice sound. But alas, my wife would never go for it. She says I ruined my Valk by supercharging it. She wont let me "ruin" the wing... However, I might slip a Nitrous bottle in a saddle bag on her. She might not notice :)
