    The best way for me to learn is when a native explains things in their native language. It forces me to understand what they're saying in order to improve my grammar, vocabulary, etc. so I really appreciate the way you make your videos

    I was ripping my hair out while translating some italian sentences because i got all of i preposizioni wrong.
    I got sick of getting it wrong, so i went on youtube and searched for "preposizioni con Lucrezia" without knowing you had made a video on it (of course you had).
    lo and behold, the single most helpful video about preposizioni on TH-cam. You explain everything so well, that i understand what you convey in Italian without using English subtitles.
    This is a praise for myself, but more a praise for you for letting me feel better about my accomplishment of learning Italian. And by making learning Italian be EASY.
    Thank you!

    Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
    The way you explain how certain expressions work combined with the examples and added subtitles makes it a great resource for learning the language, not only in terms of grammar and vocabulary, but also in terms of tone and ability to effectively express oneself.

      Ciao Lucrezia, I use 'Teach Yourself Italian' by Kathleen Speight, first published in 1943. Do you know of it? It is a very small book, no pictures, just the grammar essentials in an old-fashioned school manner.
      In 1961 the Italian government awarded Speight the Cross of Cavalicci Ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana.

    hey!:) I’m very confused as to when to use di and d’. Somewhere it said to use d’ when di is followed by a vowel. However, I’ve noticed that this is true in only some cases, and I cannot figure out what the rules are. For example, I’ve seen sentences/combinations like “Il libro di inglese”, “qualcuno manca di esperienza” BUT then also “Lago d’Iseo”, “d’inverno”, “La borsa d’Agata”. Hoping you can help!:)

    • @lucreziaoddone
      @lucreziaoddone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ciao Dakota! I would say that if you’re in doubt, do not the apostrophe when you write! And when you speak, the linking comes pretty naturally! The cases where we put the apostrophe have kind of become fixed structures or are proper names of places (as the examples you mention). But are few cases. So, again, when you write, just write the full preposition and it’ll be just fine :)

      Aris1956 i sottotitoli li aggiungo dopo aver caricato il video su TH-cam, c'è uno strumento che permette di farlo!
