I want to be confident in myself again. You done a wonderful job and nobody around here in this little town does that kind of style.

Wow.. so I always thought micro links aren’t good for people with short hair... until I saw this video !!
It honestly depends on the clients hair. If her hair was any shorter I wouldn’t have done an install, and I definitely wouldn’t do a full on her texture, only partial.

This is why I’ve started heat training my hair. Because I love microlinks, but this was the issue I ran into.

How do you keep your hair straight with these? I want them, but i’m worried about having to press my hair out everyday.
You have to go back to your stylist for maintenance just like a silk press. That should be discussed in the consultation 🫶🏿
Beautiful. My only concern is ANY kind of water……rain, shower or sweat even thinks about touching her head, she’s in a world of trouble. Her natural hair under there will curl up with the quickness. Ijs. It’s pretty tho.
It definitely will, however, if she avoids getting it wet she’ll be fine. If she works out she just have to come back to get that maintenance
so im getting my first micro link installed Tuesday and i feel like the blending isnt going to be good or im just not going to like it i believe this looks amazing considering her short hair and blending looks AMAZING i do have damaged hair due to heat and bleaching and im just scared its not going to look right. ive had a regular sew-in before and i hated it it just look bulky and really thin worse mistake of my life but now seeing this video i am really excited now thank you

@@t.mitchell1015 it just wasn’t for me i liked it more once it was old but my hair is one the verge of being damaged so i didn’t care for it as much as i wanted to but the freshness was not for me.

So beautiful but as soon as my natural hair feels heat it shrinks up. I would have to flat iron every day
I would recommend getting your hair heat trained first then. A silk press every two -three weeks. And DONT add heat in between
How often r would you recommend coming back for maintenance, being that’s she’s fully natural. Her hair will shrink with the slightest moisture
If the clients hair is heat trained, no it won’t. Maintenance should be done every 2-3 weeks.

Ik I’m pretty late to this video but what happens if she gets it wet and her natural hair get curly ?
You shouldn’t get it wet though. Shower caps for shower, and tied your head in a scarf at night. The hair style isn’t going to last no longer than a month in my opinion especially with natural hair.

Is her thinning in the back and sides due to prior micro links installed, or are these just naturally thin areas?
This was my first time doing her hair, so I’m not sure was caused it.
@@t.mitchell1015 Oic. I was just curious if that was why she chose microlinks or if microlinks caused stress in those areas. My back and sides are the least tolerant of stress. Thanks for replying. 🙏🏽

What happens when a person works out and hair shrinks, can you wet the hair to blend to your natural state?
Yes
You can get kinky micro link hair as well
No, you cannot wet it, it will tangle and get matted up if the client doesn’t know what they are doing. You would have to wait until your next maintenance appointment. If you’re someone that works out regularly then Microlinks may not be the best option for you as your roots will puff up.
No, they shouldn’t.
Kinky extensions are much more difficult to work with for this service
Can it be done with no leave out because what if a person has thin hair and what about Edges with baby hair
No, all of your hair is left out. This hair is not suitable for this technique.

What happens when her natural hair gets poofy?
If her hair isn’t heat trained, it may or may not poof up. My silk presses usually last clients from 1.5-6 weeks. But if it does, she’ll just have to wait til her next maintenance appointment

@@_vibeswitht oh I definitely wouldn’t put a relaxer in your hair for this. It won’t last. I would recommend Scheduling a consultation with a microlink hairstylist near you!

The problem is, when it’s humid or she gets any water on it, it’ll look awful. This is why it sucks sometimes being 4c 😖
That is actually why I came to watch this video, I have wavy microlinks installed and it takes me an hour to straighten my hair everyday, but then as the day goes on, my hair Curls back up from the humidity or workouts or showers and it looks terrible. Is it my only option to permanently straighten it?
@@coachjadewilliams4885 only thing that can do that is a relaxer. But with as much heat as you’re putting in your head it’s still just as damaging. Try textured micro links or yaki clip ins

Why not use the hair that her texture. She will damage her hair trying maintain it to be like the installed hair.. defeats the purpose
She won’t damage it, because she’s not supposed to use heat at home, only at the salon. If she uses heat at home, it will be damage. Using kinky texture hair is actually more work to get it to match as you’ll see in my most recent upload.
She'll have to definitely get this maintained and washed at the salon...and her hair isn't strong enough to carry the weight of the installation.
I always have a consultation prior to microlink installs. I’m very persistent to educating my clients. And her hair was fine for the install.
I'm curious what made you think her hair wasn't strong enough?
