High Court Grants Conditional Bail to C.T. Ravi in Defamation Case

ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ‌ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಚಿವೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ್ಕರ್ ‌ಗೆ ಆಕೇಪಾರ್ಹ ಪದ ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಮಾಜಿ‌ ಸಚಿವ ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿಗೆ ಹೈ ಕೋಟ್೯ ಷರತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧ ಜಾಮೀನು‌ ನೀಡಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ತಕ್ಷಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಮಧ್ಯಂತರ ಆದೇಶ‌ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರುಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿದಿಗಳ ಕೋಟ್೯ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ‌ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವ ವೇಳೆ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ತನಿಖೆಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳುವಾಗ ಸತ್ಯ ಮೇವ ಜಯತೇ ಎಂದು ತೆರಳಿದ್ದ ಸಿ.ಟಿ.ರವಿಗೆ ಶಿಗ್ಗಾಂವಿಗೆ ತಲುಪುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಜಾಮೀನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಹರ್ಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The Karnataka High Court granted conditional bail to former minister C.T. Ravi on Friday in a case involving alleged derogatory remarks against Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar in the Legislative Council. The court issued an interim order for his immediate release.
C.T. Ravi, who was presented before the Belagavi court earlier in the day, was transferred to the Bengaluru Special Court for Public Representatives by afternoon. During his transfer to Bengaluru, the High Court granted him bail with the condition to cooperate with the investigation.
Ravi, who had declared "Satyameva Jayate" while leaving Belagavi, received the bail order near Shiggaon. BJP workers expressed joy over the decision.
