I honestly believe as Dan has gotten older his voice has gotten even better. I've seen countless SOTY shows through the years, and while I do miss Phil Snead being in the band, they're as good if not better than they ever were.
Fun fact: They shot this video at Sk8 Liborious, a skatepark inside an actual cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri. Makes sense since the band is STL-based.
I told you guys in the comments last time that they have wholly new stuff coming ;) Just wait (sadly almost 5 more months) until the album, so many new sounds This video means SOOO much to me. I and 20+ of my friends are all here. People I trust more than much of my own family. Love all of these people so much
I think it's one of my favorite songs and I was lucky enough to be an extra in the music video. Seeing their whole process was a lot of fun as well! Great video by the two of you as always.
Both of them are bangers. Tbh, I’m glad they went the nostalgia route first with Real Life. I think with them bringing out a new record it triggers the emotional connection everyone had with the band. My dude hasn’t aged a day, and his voice is spectacular 🤘
I think the reason they released this song after dropping 2-3 songs is because they wanted to build the hype before they drop a banger. The previous songs were just teases, but this is the first official single off the new album.
I love that labels/bands are send you guys stuff, would be cool if you displayed them on the wall behind you! Loved this, so glad I'm fully listening to SOTY!!!
Love that Johnny mentioned ffaf. Haven't listened to them since high school! This is a fun song with the heavy bits, also haven't listed to soty since 'until the day i die' but this song has got me interested in the new album - i don't expect to be wowed though.
This song was banging. one thing about this though that is driving me crazy; the melody of the chorus sounds SUPER similar to a mid-2000s pop song -- especially the "I can't kill all the anxiety" line -- and I cannot for the life of me remember out what that song is that it's making me think of - I have a feeling it was on the Scooby-Doo Movie soundtrack, but other than that I got no clue. But yeah, that tangent aside, awesome song
Personally, I thought Wolves was a great album. I was hoping for something a little more along that line but their newer music sounds similar to their first two albums. It's still good, though!
I saw them in 2003 in little rock arkansas... the opened for likin park with pod and hoobastank . Other than likin park obviously, soty was the best band there . Their stage presence is fucking amazing . I know some people dont like orchestrated stuff on stage but they were flipping over each other and shit with wireless guitars ... it was epic !!
I’m so fucking for all these 2000s punk rock bands making comebacks!
IMO Dan Marsala has one of the best voices and it hasn't deteriorated so to speak - voice is still just as good :)
Agree
Album release concert back in March was awesome, they sounded great!

It was a fun day being there as an extra
You guys should do a “retro/look back” series. Would love to hear Nath’s take on SOTY’s “Is This My Fate, He Asked Them”
I agree!
Yes please!

Love seeing these guys come back! Killer song. Loved the pop punk/metal back and forth they had going on. Fingers crossed for the rest of the album!

I love this song and love how absolutely SOTY it is ❤️
Really cool song, can't wait for the rest album! 🤘
I found myself singing the chorus to myself everyday for weeks after hearing this.

I saw them at blue ridge and I was shocked it wasn't packed. But they were AMAXING !!!
I 've been waiting for you guys to react to this one since it's out. this track is 10/10
Thank you!!! Funeral for a friend!! No one ever knows them! Fml!! My man.. all day fam
We’re big fans!
Great comeback song for band. Perfect blend of melody and metalcore. Those riffs and screams SLAP
Being in this video was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Song is a banger 🔥 and Dan is an awesome guy 😎

Loved this, so glad I'm fully listening to SOTY!!!
I love how they filmed in the same location as Revocation!
Good get!
Dan is such an underrated vocalist
This has a Bullet for my Valentine feel with that riff and scream.

This track is fire! The new 4 years strong is great too!
ABSOLUTELY SHOULD’VE BEEN THE FIRST SINGLE
This song is so fucking sick.
Oh my god I saw them like 5 times in highschool and right after...
Great song and great review !
I’m digging it
I'd love to see you guys do some new Boundaries.
The album Wolves before this one was perfection for me. This album is absolutely great but Wolves does it for me more.
Knuckle Puck - 'Groundhog Day' (Pure Noise Records) 🙏🙏
Nice "mosks" :-)
this is the best punk song released in 2022
Nah Birthright by Youth Fountain is better
@@Kfarm2711 this was a good suggestion! I enjoyed the riffs etc I prefer Dan Marsala's voice.
Keen to see you both react to Babymetal’s new track off The Other One album ‘Divine Attack’
Johnny has had something white on his shirt throughout this whole video, and it’s pissing me off. Lol. 😂😤
Johnny? 🤣
@@thisisnara92 meant to say Johnny. Lmao. I changed it
@@Highland_1992 Now I can't unsee it too haha
DAMMIT! CAN NOT BE UNSEEN! I’m a grub haha - Johnny
@@nathandjohnny lmao get ur shit together bruh 😂

Real Life was a banger idk what you all were thinking 😂
Please react to the new dreamcatcher music, vision
Youth Fountain- Birthright is the best song I've heard all year.
