Got my first ever chainsaw this last weekend and learned a bunch from this. I had the exact situation where a fallen tree was flat in the dirt and I wasn’t sure of my approach. Now I know what to do.
Wow that saw is impressive! I started my power saw journey with a little home depot echo 35cc, learned how use a saw and sharpen chains with that one, gave that one too a buddy for his first saw, then I got the echo timberwolf, did a muffler mod and loved that one, beat the crap outta it and never had a issue with it ,sold it and now I run a 362 stihl and love it. But now after watching your videos, I'm thinking of trying out a husqvarna In the 70cc range. I think a 372 xp is calling my name! Stand up and buck! Great videos buckin!
That saw was impressive! Husqvarna was smart to let you give it a test, just sharp business planning. Looking forward to trying Scott’s leather treatment also. Just got some today. 👍👍
Do you mean a 562? Awesome saws! I like the look of the original version better than the new one. But I guess it’s performance and dependability that counts!
Buckin when I started watching your video's I was learning how to sharing a chain what you just said about leaning on it and equally matching the Rackers to the cutter I don't lean on it any i fine tune it until it falls through the wood it self you are a master to running a saw and sharpening a chain I and other will agree you have help a lot of viewers thanks I run a o tinman special xl76 homelite thanks for all you share and do
Buckin the c83 chain is .50 gauge and the c85 is a .58 gauge. Both have the same X cut cutters. Same chain essentially just different gauge. That’s how I understand it.
I have had three Stihls an echo and a husky I like the torque of the Husky. I got the Stihls cause that’s what pa had. Then I moved to Husquvarna land. That’s where the support is in my neck of the woods. They will service the competition grudgingly but mostly because I bought th little echo and my 372 xp from them.
Hey buckin, I gutted the stock muffler on my 562 and piped it. WOW is it a world of difference. Way more power all around, especialy in the midle of the power band. I have a 24" 3/8 .58 chain and it is astonishing to me coming from the world of 40-50cc saws

A lot of other vids get me worked up somehow, not Buckin’ though! From the heart, thank you so much. Also, for what it’s worth, nothing heals the body more than whole organic foods, pure water, a good daily walk in the woods and laughter. Being honest with yourself about the stressors in life is also a key. Keep doing what you love, you’ll be stronger than ever in no time.
Hey Billy. Would love to see your take on how to properly maintain the C85 chain. Love your content, been following your advise since I discovered your chanell and it all works and makes sence. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Poland
That is running great! I was worried they would be down on power because to my understanding they reduced compression a bit from the last generation that I have. Looks to be running very strong for sure!
Test all the saws you can. Any size. If they give u for free take it and review. I like any saw you review. I love the info. I think I speak for all we love the information. And all saws has there place in work. And a lot of people got buy 50cc or less we less.

Hello from Ireland Billy Ray, just love your videos on everything to do with trees and chainsaws. My first saw was a Stihl 251 and next came an Echo cs621sx and that gave me a thirst for power so now i'm wating on an old Stihl 056av to arrive in the post. But i'm scared Billy Ray because i'm looking at my old Suzuki T500 two stroke and thinking that would make a fine chainsaw.
Buckin!!! Glad ta see ya on a powersaw!! The look on your face while runnin them says it all brother😊😊 i am very impressed that 60cc saw pulls that 28 like it does!! I may have to purchase one or two of em to add to the arsenal!! Thanks for what ya do brother, much love🪓🪵🌲

Love it Buckin it all makes since to me brother it didn’t over a year ago but I’ve been learning since then thanks to your teaching and all your knowledge! I’ve always managed to get all my wood cut back then but it sure was a struggle! I would love to see some of the processes on the muffler mod when you do that if possible!

You know, I used to be a hard-core stihl guy. Because stihl is just the brand of choice in the area im in but i started watching your videos awhile back and you helped me decide to just give husky a try. I am glad i did because its just a better saw and its fun to listen to a wood cutting budy jabber about how my saw sucks because his is a stihl 😂 Thank you Billy!

Hey Buckin! That looks like a good running little saw. How would you compare it to the Stihl 362? Since you’ve ran one of those with a 28” bar also. I run bigger saws, but wouldn’t mind getting my girl a little smaller saw than the 044 I have for her now. Thanks and keep up the good work 👌🏼
You talked a lot about square chain. What is better square grind or round file. Just getting into this stuff. I have run chainsaws but never really paid attention too much to all the details until I started watching you. What should I use. I am a wood turner, I make bowls on my wood lathe so I use a chainsaw to process the logs but recently have been having some trouble with the saw not only staying sharp but getting a good cut. It is really frustrating trying to operate a chainsaw that does not work right.
Go to your buddy Walker and get one of his excellent mufflers for your 562 and that’s all you need! I pull a 24” on mine don’t need any bigger but the saw rips!
C83 is full chisel, .050 gauge, and C85 is full chisel, .058 gauge. X-cut is designed to be round file sharpened after the original factory grind. Enjoy.
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith I was looking at them recently. I live down in the southeast US , so the wrap around bar is an add on here but I am probably going to get one.
