To me he definitly did not waste his life, path of Heart and real life dreamwork, beautifull.. and so what he lives a comfortable life.. you work for it, you deserve it. Lot´s of luck comes from hard work and a kind Heart. Excellent art and although I probably won´t switch to digital in my own work, I appreciate the tool and medium and the skills to manage them. Great to see so many good artists and writers (who I feel are in essence artists too) we´re of influence and that the're are so many of them out there. I love them all.
@@Drumaier it's really close, but maybe Phillips. I really like that they all rely so much on shadows, but all three go into completely opposite directions. But I like the retro realistic pulpy look of Sean Phillip's the most. Second is Risso
@@TheCropCircleQueens sorry, i never saw this question (until now of course). Jim Lee for sure and then would be some of these three depending when you ask me.... Ivan Reis. Kim jung Gi and Alex Toth. Do you think Alex Toth is the one that inspired artists like Mignola, Risso and Miller? I'd like to know where are the roots of the more graphic style 🤔
Great interview, one of your best artist interviews. Can you make more comic book artists and illustrators interviews? Just great. Going back to my cintiq to draw!
Woow this is soo amazing - this is my dream, fantastic art room, I have plesure to try wacom products on Comics event I never expected it will be soo close to natural drawing :) I definitely buy one of cintiq model on some day ;) Love this series ;)

I love drawing people too, but it's quite the opposite for me...if I wasn't painting naked ladies, I'd probably be drawing comic books. :-) If you love what you do then it's impossible to waste your life. Keep doing what you do Sean Phillips...you've gained a new fan here.
lol I don't think most painters who think they're saying important things, are saying important things. I think most have inflated egos and just make banal observations they think are deep. Because they live comfortable lives. lol So if that worries you, well..
Its pure magic when Sean Phillips and Ed Brubaker work together.
I love the way he draws Spider-Man in Marvel zombies, I wish we could get more comics with his drawings. He is the best marvel artist
I think I like about comic artists is that they all seems to be nice humble people.
It's interesting seeing Sean Phillips studio. That's where the magic happens.
You put a big smile on my face, thank you for this Wacom. This man's sensibilities and his art are just grand noir heaven! Cheers, Sean!!!

Loved watching this video, he is an inspirational artist
When he said he was aged 6 in 1971 I didn't believe him. Looking good at 53! Also - beware - Citizen Kane spoiler at 6:50.
This series is awesome! Thank you guys, looking forward to seeing more artists!
Love this series.
What a legend
His art on marvel zombies was so good
A Man after my own heart. "If i wasn't drawing comics, I'd be painting naked ladies."
Easily in my top three favourite comic artists of all time, along with Eduardo Risso and Mike Mignola
Those three are in my top five also!!! Just curious....would you say any of the three is in "another level"?

Great video. Great artist.
Still waiting for Incognito to come back to Comixology though. 😝
Great marketing Wacom ... love this series!!! 💞
LOVE Clip Art!
Amazing work.
Man I really love this video if i could just find a job i would be able to buy what i need to start drawing and animating.
Impressive work.
Marvel Zombies is his best work for me.

Wacom 21 UX huh. Haven't seen that tablet for a real long time! Also, this was a wonderful video
Nice interview. Too bad it didn't show him actually draw, would have loved to see that.
Digital is like having the computer do your work for you...oh wait
Which is that kind of sketchbook he uses to do the rough page?
I get one printed via lulu.com for each new project.

Great video and fantastic artist, but lower the music volume next time. I could barely hear the speaking over the background music.
Try Intuos out and You Will motive the diference betwen paper and that
you really wanted that camera to be as distracting as possible didnt you
No offense but you have the exact personality, voice, and mannerism of Derek ( Ricky gervais)
GOOD JOB MY NIGGA
I wish i wasn't broke
Huion is a good tablet brand to start with
You look like Karl Pinkilton in disguise.

First
I’m confused// if it’s all digital
Why draw... just copy/paste (seriously)
Are you serious?
Manipulating lines is not art. Digital art is a job. Period
