I really love that Lawnmower racing has resisted the usual traps of "cheap motorsport" and actually remained cheap and accessible. So many race series have been started with the idea of cheap motor sports but they all seem to quickly become very expensive and unobtainable to most racers.
@@CallumRaces im keeping an eye on facebook market place, trying to find the right mower is tricky though, i've read the regs but it is quite vague when it comes to the base mower as not all of them are homologated. probably try to get one to then prep over the next winter... it also needs to fit in the back of an estate car so it might limit me a bit. another great vid tho Callum
Great video Callum! Just wondering about transporting the mower, I imagine it's not possible to get one in the back of your car unless you're driving an SUV?
Good point! A Group 3 will fit in an estate car if you take the steering column off. I have a van, many use a small box trailer. Up to you, but definitely easier than a car trailer!
Enjoying hearing your passion about racing and how lawnmower racing is keeping it going. Hopefully the subs and views pickup. Do you still have the caterham and will there be more content on it?
Hi Callum I’ve been watching a few of your videos. I’m going to come and watch in Petersfield on the 10th but I have a question which I couldn’t answer from reading the rules: basically, front brakes? Are the simply not allowed, not necessary or just too expensive to make work?
My race mower is class 3 in nz it’s a 655cc was 20hp but will be a lot more soon I’ve got a few yt shorts and videos I’m building a few mowers at the moment it’s a cheap sport that’s getting bigger n bigger
were in the US and i my area its hard to find places to race, with out having to drive 3 hours to a race and then 3 hours back home. the good thing is im hearing more and more tracks are letting you camp for the weekend so thats looking up i just wish it was more livley in our area. hears our race team channel. its not much but i try to post our races there th-cam.com/channels/WLnkgo7r8mn1A0z0brXNtw.html

So good to see you doing your own thing Callum, keep it up!
Motorsports on a budget. Looks like mad fun!
ah lawnmower racing reminds me of my ongoing so far five yaer long racing mower build
"I will finish it! You don't need to nag me about it every 6 months!"
That's exactly what I say to them callum
You popped up in the algorithm mate! Glad it did.
Good to see you back behind the camera Callum
I’m kind of inspired to give this a go, being so cheap is pretty appealing
Let's go Callum!! Lots of love from Honolulu, Hawaii.
What a class bunch of absolute nutters 🤣
I am 100% planning to find myself a racing mower, looks like amazing fun
Let's go! Keep me posted on how it goes!

Great summary video Callum, super helpful to get all the most common questions answered in one place!
It's a failure if you don't IMMEDIATELY buy a mower 😉
Excelent review, thanks very much !
Now I'm thinking about how to try it ...)
Yep, 100 hp Ina lawnmower sounds like the USA
I honestly can’t believe the British started racing lawn mowers before we did this may be one of the most American things I’ve ever seen
i usually see in low view videos some problems why they are not more popular, but i see 0 problems with this, great vid! Investing at 948 views
