I have a cousin that's 7'3 and he used to have such a hard time finding clothes and shoes. His little boy is going to be tall too. I'm only 5'2 so he's a Giant next to me. Lol. I never knew the complications being that tall until he started growing so fast tho. He had so much pain. It was sad watching him grow into a teenager. Having more of an advantage with the women and on the basketball court makes up for it. When you're 7'3, all you need to do is do hands-up contests and grab like 10 rebounds a game. They can even hide your poor perimeter defense in a 2-3 zone

At 6'3", I'm the smallest male in my family of First Nations people (Native American), dad being 6'7", and grandfather being 6'9" - we are among some of the tallest natives(as a family) that still exist in the states

I thought I had about the tallest chiropractic patient -- 7'-7" -- Neil Fingelton -- back around 1997- 98. At the time he was in h.s here in Mass. He went on to UNC for hoops, and ended up back here at Holy Cross. He appeared in Game of Thrones, 47 Ronan with Keanu Reeves and others. Sadly, NEil passed in 2017 :( Keep up the great work doc!! J

Wow....I remember watching him on TV when he was a teen. He had a lot of joint pain back then. I wonder if he has a custom made mattress that accommodates his height and support for his joints/body? Also a good pillow for his neck. Glad you were able to help him and give him some exercises to do at home.

Genetics did not treat him kindly but he seems to be a very nice person none the less. As I am stuck at home (heavy equip field mechanic)with a torn bicep and chip on my shoulder I see something that a person has had to deal with their whole life and still be nice in spite of it.

To be fair though, chromosome 12 inversion is not necessarily 1:1 with gigantism, although gigantism is surely consequent of it in his case. If you do look up case studies on c12 inversions, you'll see he's got potential complications so numerous even for a giant. I hope he defies odds, medicine gets better...but as it stands, he'll be very fortunate to make it to 60 let alone with any semblance of a QoL and OP is saying it's a good thing.

Hope he invests into a high density foam roller to work out that back hump. I can't relate being a 6'1 beta but those things have helped me so damn much.
What did foam rolling do for you? Foam rollers can only do so much. As far as I have read, researched, and experienced they are not meant to adjust the spine or any other bones. It doesn’t even get rid of adhesions in muscle tissue. It does help relax the muscles via the nervous system.

You hear and read all the jokes about tall people, but for me personally I really REALLY feel for them. It really cannot be easy to be so tall that forever they have to be ducking and diving in and out places. Having to adjust from Averge height rooms and cars and eating or using the bathroom that's gotta be tough!
Shaq was gifted with a financial stability also..I kno so many people who if they had the money they would have still been alive or would have least had a longer natural life. R.I.P 2 all unfortunately not able 2 pay for proper treatment (dental, mental health, ect...)

You hear and read all the jokes about tall people, but for me personally I really REALLY feel for them. It really cannot be easy to be so tall that forever they have to be ducking and diving in and out places. Having to adjust from Averge height rooms and cars and eating or using the bathroom that's gotta be tough!
How lucky is Shaq to be so large and seems to be doing so well physically. Most other big man like him seem to be very limited in their movement.
He's 7 foot genius. Once you get to 7'6 and above that's when the real problems start

Shaq was gifted with a financial stability also..I kno so many people who if they had the money they would have still been alive or would have least had a longer natural life. R.I.P 2 all unfortunately not able 2 pay for proper treatment (dental, mental health, ect...)

@@NationofJason216 , I agree that money will take you to extreme lengths in terms of getting the proper care and treatment. Also a bit of good luck with your genetics… Shaq moved much better than even compared to other big men in the league (during/after their NBA careers) who also had good income. Andre The Giant had plenty of money but unfortunately was destined to a short life.

I don't know if I should be bummed out or happy for this dude. Am I the only one that got a wave of emotion from this? Also, it wouldn't hurt to put his links in the Description. i understand some creators don't, because they don't want us to click off of the video (so the ads get pushed to us), but sometimes that seems kind of cold.
