Love Simon, his mother’s speech is the best I’ve ever heard in this context. The comment about getting to exhale
What makes that scene 100x better is it wasn't scripted, Jennifer Garner came up with that speech herself, she said she wanted to say something that she would tell her child should they ever come out to her. Even the author of the book Love, Simon is based on said she wished she had come up with it when writing the book
Olivia Coleman's performance is as brilliant as ever.
"i dont wanna fight anymore. im just too tired. i have to just be me" 1:54
I loved Santana coming out to her grandmother. I cried happy tears when her grandmother came to Santana's wedding to Brittany
L love santana coming out to her grandmothr l cried happy tears when her grandmother ravi tod santanas wedding to Brittany
I think this coming out scene is very important, too. Because there are so many people in the world who tell their family/ friends and suffer from their disapproval. And it might be hard but I think seeing this might make them feel less alone and scared. Sometimes people come around. But sometimes they don't and we have to live with it. And that is really sad and hard.
To all of you, you're never alone! We're all by your side ❤️
It's a shame she was such a horrible c**t to her own granddaughter in the beginning
21:36 I like the fact that Simon's father understood quickly his jokes were hurtful.
My Dad was the same way, he was great.
@@NelsonHarper-pe8vt Awesome!😊
I feel like Mikey’s was the hardest situation to come out to. Given his background and the attitudes of a lot of the people around him.
I love the coming out scene from heartstopper 💜🏳️🌈
Same Nick and Charlie are amazing
Js
❤🌈👏👏
I cried so much watching that scene
Literally the reason I watch this video
Ian and Mickey. The best.
the coming out scenes in love simon make me cry EVERY TIME 😭😭
All parents should accept their kids
the heartstoppper scene is ace
Hear me out on this. I get the upset/angry reactions when someone comes out. I wish it wasn't that way, but I get it. And I'd like to think most parents come around, just like Victor's mom. It's not the best situation, but I get it. The reaction I don't get, especially from a parent, is "I always knew". Being in the closet is not an easy thing. It's not mentally healthy, either. A lot of closeted kids suffer through most of their childhood-- confused, scared, unsure, hiding, lying, and afraid to be who they really are. After going through all of that, they come out and mom says "Oh, I always knew". All that time wasted. So much unnecessary suffering.
Santana’s broke my heart
Nick Nelson in Heartstopper 😭❤️
The neighbor/bartender in Shamless immediately went into a yoga zen state during the bar fight. Did anyone else notice that HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😂
Pilar hugging Victor+++
Oh my goodness. A grown man getting all teary eyed over video clips I've seem many times before, they just hit a spot that makes me feel overwhelmed with gladness.
Jeez, I watched Heartstopper a hundred times and that scene still brings tears to me... And I didn't know about that Simon show, I need to watch it; his father's reaction is so cool.
Love Simon is great too. But HS scratches a very particular itch.
I also love how Elanas dad from One Day at A Time is played by Victors dad on Love, Victor
I always thought that was kinda cool that those acting roles he both had a kid who was gay and the different reactions his characters had depending on who he was playing.
This is BRILLIANT! Thank you. I never get through Simon and his parents without bawling my eyes out. I never officially came out to my folks but they knew, I knew they knew and they knew that I knew that they knew. Stupid, I know, but they were so loving and accepting to me and my partner as well as out kids ( we both had three kids each from previous marriages) . Also, Thank You for the Love, Victor scenes too. It's important to see the struggle and the victory for everyone, despite the tradition, despite that church. And, again, Victor's dad's talk with his mother and then his mother talking to him - heart wrenching and so powerful.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it ☺️
"i'll be hurt either way. isn't it better to be who i am?" 5:07
My outing was like Nick, my mam and i sitting in the kitchen and she was like Nicks mum ❤
Mine was more like Santana's. even as an adult, years later, my family doesnt accept it or talk about it.
@@spede1 that's really sad, i hope you have your choosen family
I loved One Day at a Time but the heart break I felt when her dad left her at her quinceñera 😭
The fact that it's the same actor being Victor's dad and learning to accept him... It reminded me of the quinceñera scene 😢
Thank you for including Love Victor its an amazing series I've watched all three series multiple times
I too watched Love Victor multiple times sometimes multiple times a day!!! I've done the same with Love Simon!!!
Wow. I need some fluids now. Totally dehydrated. ❤
Very nice countdown! Many internet countdowns are silly and opinionated, but this one was good and well thought out. Well done!
I was so happy that love Simon and love victor were put in here
This made me cry.
I miss the scene from red white and royal blue, with Alex and his mom.
RWRB was released after this video was made
I agree that Alex coming out to his mom is incredible and wonderfully written and acted. Had this list been made later, I'm sure that would have been included.
The coming out scenes in love Simon make me cry every time 😍😍
All the scenes are special in their own ways so 🎉😊❤
I am a man and I remember that day when I married my husband. That was the happiest day of my life. And then I remember that day when he passed away. The day our love just died.
So Sorry for your loss😔💔
Hold on to those memories and cherish them forever .
@@vickihayward6832I wrote a poem about the loss. Then wrote it again and sent that to a friend of mine who is a composer. She wrote music to my words and now I am waiting for that song to be played on the radio. I have heard the demo version of it and I know which artist is going to perform it. Of course nothing happens over night. There are various stages from raw material to the finished product. Grief works the same way.
That love did not die. It obviously lives on in your heart. A lifetime love is not something that you find; it is something that you build, and unlike Gibraltar, it does not erode or fall or die. It nourishes the soul for life. Cherish that gift for those of us who have yet to have the chance to build that.
Love them all, and its true love is love .....just be yourself ❤❤ and if it's to hard for you just call someone you trust and talk to them.
The fact that Rosa coming out on Brooklyn nine-nine isn't on here is upsetting. lol
Beautifully done...I enjoyed watching these videos so much! I am grateful that I had an amazing coming out process 30+ years ago....but remember we are always coming out...I pray that someday coming out will be a thing of the past❤
Elena coming out to her mom Penelope was great but hid her real feelings at first. Her dad was even worse, BTW was the same actor that played the dad in Love, Victor. He stood her up at her Quinceañera took off when it was time for the father-daughter dance.
Penelope didn't know how to handle it. And honestly, she dealt with it much better than Victor.
Epic and awesome. Thank you.
Thanks for that. It's really touching 💜
17:49 I WAS SMILING SO HARD THATS SO CUTE
Hey, me again haha. I have another one for you. Emily Fields from Pretty Little Liars. Her family weren't supportive but came around through the episodes and it was a great storyline to watch. and (idk if you can get this one) but Sophie from Coronation Street. Those two are good.
Santana and Kurts coming outs were awesome and I loved what Brittney did for their wedding in the last season. Absolutely love Britanna!!!
Also, New subscriber
Hey, I love the suggestions. Thanks, and I do love that scene from Pretty Little Liars with Emily and her parents, and I haven't heard of the other one, but I will definitely look into it, and I'm glad you love the glee ones and that your a fan of Britana I'm definitely a Klaine haha and I'm so glad you are now a subscriber😊😁
@@ADRIANUNCENSORED Oh yeah. I love Glee haha. Coronation street is a British soap opera so idk if you could get it. Sophie Webster is basically the girl who fell in love with her best friend but she runs away with her after a wedding when her family disapproved of a rumor about her that was true. Its a good story line. There's clips all over yt if you want to have a look
@Kiara Scott I will definitely check It out seems interesting
@@ADRIANUNCENSORED You should. Sophie and Sian and Sophie and Maddie are the two couples from corrie that you should watch
When I saw, you decide to put Heartstopper just at place 2, I knew
Love, Simon would be the 1. But I thought then, it would be soo funny if you comes around with the coming out scenes of heteros at this place 😂😂😂
I love coming out videos
in german
die meisten eltern haben mit der botschaft " mutter, vater ich bin schwul" erstmal zu schlucken, aber solange sie dich nicht deswegen verstoßen , kommen die irgendwann auch damit klar
in english
Most parents have to swallow the message "mom, dad, I'm gay" at first, but as long as they don't disown you because of it, they'll eventually come to terms with it
Let people be happy
I'm not crying - you're crying
Very very great video I like it a lot very very great job i like a lot of this great episodes a lot 😊❤ love is love it is not on this great list is when jack from Dawson creek coming out to his dad and his sister it unforgettable and powerful
I've found that the easiest way to come out to your parents is when you mom snoops through your room and finds a letter from another guy.
RIP Naya
Wynonna Earp...Waverly coming out to her sister Wynonna because her secret girlfriend was being held at gunpoint.
L love one day at a time but the heart break l when her dad left her at her quincenerra😍
The coming out scene in Dopesick was tragic. Her mom pretended not to hear a single word.
in DAYS OF OUR LIVES would be another one to make..where Will Horton comes out to parents. in The Young and the restless Where Philip comes out to Mrs Chancellor.
do nada a legenda em português 🤭🤭💙💙
hi can i ask in which season is the justin’s coming out in Ugly Betty?
Hi, it starts around Ugly Betty season 4 episode 16-20
@@ADRIANUNCENSORED than you so much🤍
OMG, that first mom was unbelievable ignorant and mean
👍
👏👏👏🌈💜🙏
that first one WAS NOT GOOD, TOP 10 REACTIONS I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALL GONNA BE POSITIVE
unfortunately, i will probably end up holding my breath until death...
Breathe! You deserve to live your own life. Live like nobody is watching, sing like nobody is listening, and love with all your heart. To do anything else is a waste of yourself. Feel free to message if you need an ear or a shoulder. Big hugs. Reading that you do not think you will ever be able to breathe broke my heart.
It is unlawful for parents to throw their child (who is under 18 years old) out of the house (at least in California.)
To bed not everyone can exalte😢
I think you mean "exhale." But what you said is true.
@@markmh835 yeah. You're right!
Again the same as in your previous video it's good to do tops like this but it's too American or English get out of your way.
perhaps you could contribute the ones that you think are just as good (or better) then.
@@badboy-kr6dq ... It's not a parent scene but for another coming out video Isak from the norwegian OG Skam coming out to his friends should definitely be included! Cause there reaction is just perfect 💕

While I don't understand the lifestyle and don't support it I would NVR throw my child or any family or friend away because of it.
Ah, 1980 was great...! What, this is 2024? Oh, not impressed.... not at all. People like that and these scenes perpetuate the stereotypes instead of overcoming them.
I was 40 when I told my parents.......right after I was informed I was adopted......
