Thank´s a lot for this video. Now it make´s sense why i like or not like some of my pictures. Before i saw this video i had no clue. Again, a big thank you for posting this!!
'Would you like to see more videos like this?' you ask. Absolutely 100% yes we would (I took the liberty of speaking for everyone else there, sorry everyone else). Excellent very informative video Mads 😉
Have been binging a lot of Photography videos. This is a great one for composition. A lot of these videos can be repetitive, but this offered and explained some new insight into the subject of composition. Thank you!
I really like your videos and the tips in them. Especially, because the pictures shown help to visualize your explanations. Thanks and please keep posting such content.
All priorities with good examples in one uncluttered place - like it! Now after seeing this I might remember to include more factors in my photos, always one is forgotten. Just remembering the right iso is sometimes a problem for me. Thank you.
Currently using my water months studying the theory of composition… Your blurred out Kirkjufell picture very strongly reminds me of the movement in Van Gogh’s « Starry Night »
I think your undoubted photography skills are matched by your communication and teaching skills. For me you make the main points in a clear way that is very effective. I went out this morning and saved several frames of film by following your guidance and declining after realising what the possible shots were missing. This is quite liberating as I feel much more in control when considering the merits of a potential composition. Thank you.
Excellent tutorial, Mads. This is the first of your vids I've seen. You have an excellent ability to present material clearly and very understandably without loud music, flash and bombast. This is a refreshing change from normal tutorial videos on YT. Well done! Keep more like this coming.
Very useful, thanks a lot. I am an amateur and can seldom make sense of more esotheric advice for pros. I also cannot live photography like artists do. But most of your advice can be put into practice directly to make my shots better.
Thanks Mads! Like your presentation style. Useful guidelines, that do need to be broken sometimes, especially that of balance. Please make more of these type of videos.
This was very helpful, all five steps I've seen and heard before but your examples and insight help make the principles more concrete if that makes any sense. Thanks for sharing, your efforts are certainly appreciated.
Very well explained and illustrated. I am applying all of your 5 tips "by feeling" since long time already, but your explanations make me do that in the future more consciously. Like your calm and professional way a lot! And - yes (same as Tony Neat) - please offer more of these videos beyond your other ones.
Excellent video and descriptions of the "rules". I sent this to my father in law in the hopes he stops asking me how to take better photos! Make more of these!
Very well done. You have done a great job at explaining composition with visual examples. I have seen many videos of people rambling on, but you never fully understand what they mean. This video feels much like an instructor from school. Great job and as always, great work.
These are great tips. I hope you will continue to do more. I think most people, struggle with composition, and these types of tips help!! Look forward to your next video.
Excellent and informative vlog Mads. I particularly liked the tip to do with balance. The image at 10:12 is stunning mate, you also used images to highlight the tips really well too. I hope you are keeping well. Take care.
Thanks. I really enjoyed this one and would definitely like to see more of this type of content. The “anti-models” are really helpful in exemplifying your points and I really like the fact that you use your own past images to show your journey as a photographer. By this I mean that it shows that you too have experiemented, made mistakes, reflected and learned in order to get where you are. This is encouraging as it means there is hope for us all...
Nice little video Mads. Glad to see that you threw in some of your older images, showing their faults in composition etc. Most people want their followers to think that they have always been top notch photographers from the start. Keep it up matey :)
Thank you Mads I will commit these 5 points to memory and in the future I will bare them in mind before I release the shutter as I have always struggled when it comes down to Landscapes.
thanks Mads, that's probably the best and easiest to understand tutorial I have seen from the many vlogs I have viewed to date. Please can we have more.
Fantastic video! Most photographers may know these tips, but you have a way of presenting them that brings them to life and gives them great teaching benefit. I truly like how you use multiple photo examples for each tip and how you show us examples where you didn't use the tip. It really aids in my learning it.
Hi Mads, A very informative video, I consider myself to be a fairly experienced photographer, but it does no harm to be reminded of these tips it makes me stop and think about my workflow, and reminds me to take more care about what I am doing when I make a picture, I think it would be a great idea to do some more of these, it would certainly help me, many thanks, Ian
This was amazingly helpful. As someone who is getting started in photography it's hard to know what to look for when composing an image. There is so much generic advise on youtube but this gave specific things to look out for and you explained what everything meant very well. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
I really enjoyed this latest video Mads, and as you probably know I've watched them all ;) Using the blur to simplify the images and help analyze the composition was a stroke of genius, and I can't agree more with the 5 tips you chose. I think there's definitely room for this kind of content mixed in with your regular programming, and I particularly enjoy hearing how you approach thinking about your photography as a deliberate act of creation and composition as much as I enjoy the epic finished images themselves. This is some great educational content in a pretty compact and easy to understand form, and I love that you didn't even mention the damned rule of thirds (I wish I could unlearn it!). Great stuff!
Five thumbs up! Even if you are taking photograhs since years like I do, such a brief summary is very helpful. Thanks for this video - I would like to see more of this kind of videos.
11:24 a query here Suppose there is only house no wind turbine. Then according to rule of third it is ok as there is negative space on LHS and house on RHS. But if we think about balance then this case fail. So what's correct?
Excellent video. One of the most informative presentations on photographic composition I have seen.
Thanks a lot Stephen - really happy to hear that :)
Thank you. Two words that are simple to say but not said enough.
Man, you are just gold for most of the beginner photographers ( me* ) thank you so much
You're very welcome, Fartadi! Happy you like the videos :)
Thank´s a lot for this video. Now it make´s sense why i like or not like some of my pictures. Before i saw this video i had no clue. Again, a big thank you for posting this!!

Awesome, the response has been very good, so I'll make more in the future :)

I really learnt a lot! Thanks for your great photos and videos!
Excellent composition tutorial! I've seen a lot on composition, and this one outranks them all. Thanks!

Really enjoy the lessons in your videos. Thank you!

Very useful, thanks a lot. I am an amateur and can seldom make sense of more esotheric advice for pros. I also cannot live photography like artists do. But most of your advice can be put into practice directly to make my shots better.
